| This is a book about... | ||||
| Plot? What plot? This book really is just told without being fettered by things like a plot.In it's stead are seemingly random events, many of them quite gory and disturbing. It follows a prominent buisness man as his fetish for horrible and insane acts grow more and more, eventually consuming him entirely. It takes a terribly hard tense to write from, 1st-person present, (i.e. I am runing) and does a magnificent job of telling these events, in spite of it. | ||||
| I especially liked... | ||||
| I love the style that Brett Easton Ellis uses in it. It's a sort of surreal farce concerning the culture of the 80s. The humor was really great too. | ||||
| I didn't like... | ||||
| The movie they made out of this book. It simply pales in comparison to this fine piece of American literature. | ||||
| When I finished this book I wanted to... | ||||
| Find a urinal cake and cover it with chocolate. You'll want to do the same thing afterwards. | ||||
| This book made me feel... | ||||
| Horrified and disturbed on more levels than I, or the great scientists of history, had ever thought possible. | ||||
| The author of this book... | ||||
| Is abit of a one trick pony. Most of his books are alot like this, but this is, by far, my favorite. | ||||
| I recommend this book because... | ||||
| Everyone should take a peak into the inner-workings of a man who makes Charles Manson look like Gumby. | ||||
| I don't recommend this book because... | ||||
| Some of the humor probably won't sit well with some readers, and I suggest that you keep anyone, thing, idea that is under the age of 20 far away, from this piece, as it will surely cause bad bad side effects. | ||||

| You'll never look at Bree the same way again either.... | ||||
