This is a YA thriller type of book, similar to old 90's Pike, Stein, Clooney, etc type horror novels. Super fast-paced, decent little mystery.

People who like this type of book? It had a classic vibe and was a very quick read.
I especially liked...
Pretty good character development for such a short book. No overwhelming use of technology... I'd say it's comfortably set in current day. Also loved the setting-- abandoned everything, town fallen into disrepair, etc. It was a good backdrop and also provided a fair bit of plot.
I didn't like...
The writing itself (the language) was mediocre. But the story crafting was nicely done.
