Summary of this Book...
I absolutely loved this book! It is part thriller, part romance, and part country music. This is the story of Annielee Keyes, a young singer songwriter who arrives in Nashville wanting to make and sing country music. And she has enormous talent. Ethan Blake sees her at the Cat’s Paw bar and falls instantly in love. He just happens to work for Ruthanna Ryder, a country superstar, and he makes her come listen to Annielee. Ruthanna is blown away and takes the young woman under her wing. As Annielee becomes more well known and successful, it’s clear she is running away from something or someone. And her past is catching up with her fast. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure I would like this book, but I haven’t been that wrong in a long time. I loved all of the descriptions of Nashville and all the music industry insights. I felt like I was there, in bars and dives, then backstage at shows and in hotel rooms with Annielee and Ethan. I’m sure Annielee was in large parts Dolly Parton herself. As was Ruthanna. Dolly’s knowledge and experience of the country music business was evident in every page, through every sentence. The ending is fab. It fits perfectly.

What an odd combination. James Patterson and Dolly Parton. I never would have put those two together, but, boy, was I ever wrong! They blend beautifully. I couldn't tell who wrote which parts.
