I love good stories, and I want to write them. The ability to create "people" and send them through time doing interesting things hold endless fascination for me. Creating--or trying to create--that fascination fascinates me (sorry).
I suppose that remains to be seen.
Whatever works (hopefully).
Besides writing, there is religion, family, making mouth watering pies, finding those magical books, rereading the classics, which maintain my interest even on the fourth reading. I find modern "literary" works to be dull sermons for the choir.
I like them all, but they must rise above the genre formula. I want characters that come alive. Even cowboys are people.
George Eliot, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, all three Bronte sisters, Thomas Hardy, William Faulkner, David Poyer
Robert Frost
Duty is the most sublime word in our language. Do your duty in all things. You cannot do more. You should never wish to do less.
Classical, country. (How's that for a mix?)
The Spitfire Grill, The Maldanado Miracle, High Noon, The Hanging Tree, A Perfect World
