About Me
I'm a 40 something year old social worker, mom, writer, and lifetime learner. I am newly divorced and discovering the pieces of me I left hidden here and there in the past 15 years. I'm finding a few more I didn't realize I had within me. I'm looking forward to this tremendous and sometimes tumultuous ride before me.
Type of Writer
I write mostly poetry but have a few stories and lyrics in the portfolio as well.
Writing Style
My poetry is not often formal unless a poem wants to be. I enjoy painting a picture or telling a story with words.
Interests
Making jewelry, home renovation, biking, nature exploration, hanging out with my sons,playing (at) the guutar, painting and anything artsy, and always learning something new.

Historical Fiction, Southern Fiction, Mystery/Crime, and just"feel good" books.
Favorite Books
Outlander series, Harry Potter series, books by people I've met like Noah's Wife (TKThorne) and Pig Boys Wicked Bird (Doug Crandell). I love books on tape by authors like Karen White, Jan Karon, and Mary Kay Andrews (met her too...she's a hoot).
Favorite Authors
T.K.Thorne, Doug Crandell (because I know both and they are awesome writers and mentors). Diana Gabaldon, David Downing, Karen White, Ken Follet, J.K. Rowling, and poets...Shel Silverstein, Javan, Rumi and Hafiz (translated by Daniel Ladinsky).
