I'll comment that I'm one of the younger members on this site. I hope to still fit in and find my place within the community. At times my writing (outside of works) will seem stilted or clipped in a way, because I am too used to expressing my thoughts in incomplete sentences and thus have forgotten how to use periods without seeming blunt. So... maybe ignore that? It's a work in progress. As is nearly everything else in my life.
Limited third-person. I do write in first-person POV. The idea of an objective narrator intrigues me, so I'll try that out.
I feel most confident in my poetry writing, as it comes more easily and requires less conscious effort.
Reading, writing, cooking, baking, drawing, playing video games, and thinking. I like analyzing my favorite characters. (Comic book Peter Parker, mainly.) I also have an interest in physics (mainly classical), computer programming, and languages.
Fiction. Action/adventure, fantasy, romance, suspense, detective, contemporary, YA, and LGBTQ+ works.
Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie, Amazing Spider-Man comics (most specifically, the FNSM 2019 run. The art was great and I liked the style throughout.) I read too much and I can't think of anything else.
Emily Dickinson, Rudyard Kipling, Edgar Allan Poe, WIlliam Shakespeare.
"Be uniquely yourself, and when in doubt, listen to your gut, because it already knows what you want to become." - Meredith Vieira
I enjoy listening to EDEN/Eden Project, The Neighbourhood, AJR, Oh Wonder, Of Monsters and Men, My Chemical Romance, and a variety of other artists. Genres are alternative/indie, pop, and rock.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Scream (1996), Halloween (1978), Inception
| How To Get Away With Murder,
Heaven's Official Blessing,
Sherlock,
Moon Knight,
Ultimate Spider-Man (I see a pattern... Might as well change my favorite Christmas carol to Spidey Bells to match ) |
