Love this story, it speaks volumes about the depths of love people experience in a lifetime. I hope your husband doesn't come too soon for you, we still have so much to learn from you, Joy.
Beautiful poem. So lilting and lyrical. It reads like the images, lightly dancing across the stanza's and drifting away with the wind. I truly love it.
You could foster. The shelters near me are in desperate need of fosters during kitten season. It can be just for a few weeks, until the kittens are old enough to be adopted and the mama cat can be altered and adopted once she recovers. Or it can be long term, or in between. Just a thought.
My cats are all love bugs too. The kittens even run to meet us at the door.
I think you expanded on this really nicely. Time really is one of the best teachers, and it's difficult to always know our own true motives. But even those who have lived long struggle with acting on the wisdom they have accumulated. It's human nature, and not something we should waste time beating ourselves up over. Constant improvement is a better goal to shoot for.
A powerful telescope can show us just a part of the planet. If it shows us a part of a galaxy, then it is hard to believe in the existence of UFOs. One of my friends asked me doubtfully what we called Mars. It may be a part of a world with a red soul. I can't deny his logic. So, the existence of UFOs is harder to believe.
