We can either Knock, knock, knock on heaven's door or the one to getting older. Hmm! I have decided to try to view aging in a positive light. Yeah, the body deteriorates as we age. That's not too fun, but if every day is a gift and a new adventure. Then why not embrace it? Just saying.
I remember taking my oldest son when he was not quite one for breakfast. He grabbed the milk and when I went to reach for it he threw it. The man in the next booth wasn't amused at all. The man yelled and my son cried every time after that when we go to McDonalds. We've had many different experiences over the years with our children and our grandchildren.
Do we as Christians live in God's presence? Why or why not?
In one sense, God's presence is everywhere, so yes. In another sense, Christ died to repair our relationship with God the Father. So, if we have a relationship with God, then aren't we again always in his presence? I hope you are following my thought process.
One day I went on an errand with my elderly neighbor shortly before she stopped driving. Her driving was starting to get kind of bad and she drove onto the highway. We will just say that got my heart racing a bit. I began to pray and I realized that if I were to die that day, it would be like going from a lesser level of glory to a higher one. However, either God was there. I can't physically see him now but I can feel his presence. To live or die, I was consistently in his presence which brought comfort to my heart.
