On this day, over 80 years ago, a lot of good men did something that many thought impossible, storming the beaches of Normandy. A number of them lay in graves not too far from that site. Most recognize their sacrifice.

3 years ago, my step-cousin, an Army soldier on leave, about to celebrate his upcoming b-day, died in a tragic motorcycle accident, and only a few know, or care.
So, Friday.
