What has driven the entire population of an alpine village to abandon it?

Part 8 of the pot apocalyptic novella "Pandora's Wake" is now on my portfolio. The Nomads reach Bex, only to find it is a Ghost town. What has driven it's inhabitants to abandon the town, and will the hospital stores still hold he medicines the nomads so desperately need.

On a post-apocalyptic world a small band of survivors have formed a nomad caravan, fleeing form the chaos as an alien dimension crashes in on our own, devouring all in it's path.

In part 1 the nomads encounter a deadly alien spore.

A Veteran's Tale is a short Fantasy story I set in the world of Elizium - the world I initially created for my tabletop RPG.

It tells of a conversation between veteran free-swords and young, inexperienced warriors.

Written as an exercise during a writing course I took some time ago, to see if a short, micro-story could be chilling. I often thank that one day I may expand the story, but then again, I rather like it's brevity and the way it asks the reader to imagine what comes next. I often find myself coming back to read it.
