So those chattering primates on Monkey Island have let the cat out of the bag — I will be out of town for about a week starting September 6th. I will be joining the Brass Adjudication Team for Seating Placement Auditions at UVA. A former graduate instructor of mine at the school invited me. So Lenore and I will be traveling for a week or so. It will also be a chance to visit with her nephew, Dr. John, who is an instructor at the same college (Creative Writing). Because of that, and despite tears, whining, and threats, I won't be able to devote the attention to "Go Bananas Raffle And Contests! ~ Closed" that week. The last time we ran it, it was a work-intensive contest, and I feared falling behind. We will run the activity in October instead. I will still be here for the Birthday Celebrations, and I have promised the Monkeys that we'd celebrate via Newsfeed Challenges that we can preprogram for easy posting! |

For Better Or Worse. They're Back ... Monkey Mayhem Monday! Well, here it is Monday, and here we are back! On Mayhem Monday, we raid a member portfolio, and pilfer send that author a nice reviewish type thingy via a comment or email. The reviews are always short and sweet, just like us. (Mainly due to our very short attention spans. – Hey, is that a Guina Pig? Today we visited Waltz in the Lonesome October's port, and in particular his blog "Carrion Luggage" . We like it because it always gives us a chuckle, and sometimes we even learn something. Richard says the description fits us well: "Items to fit into your overhead compartment" He tells us there's lots of room in our overhead compartment, since they're pretty empty. Anyway, enough about Richard's shortcomings! Like we said, we always look forward to Robert's blog entries, like today's "That's Corny" .
