I've been thinking again — Always dangerous, as Lenore would say.

I know that there are many other Musicians here on Writing.com, and that some may be writing their own music.

So I thought I'd share a review of the music notation program I use.

MusScore is a FREE, open-source program that rivals most pay-to-play software.

It's perfect for the casual user who wants to get their work on paper.

Agreed, I use that website too, it's pretty good. The music playing software is good enough for me, I just find it hard sometimes to remember what is actually playable on those instruments or not because it can play too well... Also recommend

Congrats! I was nominated under the Portfolio Category.
Lenore and I will be on the road for the next two days, attending the wake and funeral of a relative in law. Not a close relative, but close enough to warrant our attendance. It's not really that far away, nominally just over an hour. But, traffic on the route is never good, Lennie's sciatica is acting up, and add potentially bad weather. So we'll stay overnight (free room, YAY, Hilton Honors Points).

I am changing the lock codes on the laptop, so the Ninja Monkeys should be offline also.

I apologize; my reply turned into a long-winded blog post rather than a quick note.

But, questions like this one always send me down the What If fork in the road.
So who's making stock for turkey soup/stew from the turkey carcass?

I am planning to make some in the slow cooker.

Does anyone have a favorite recipe or great hints?

If you do and want to share, I'll send you some gift points for it!!

If you have some, add some pearl barley to the mix. It partners really well with turkey (or chicken).
I have been told to add carrots, celery, leeks, and garlic to make turkey stock.
