Earth Everyday The Sly-ones piss on us. The Ravens just soar on the winds, never touching ground. The Gryffin-fires just burn it all down. All live on this same rocky sphere; but we humble Huffers inherited the dirt. With that guy Sly we fashion mud; we join Rave to spread the dust; we build bricks with old Gryff's flame. No blame, no shame, no glory. No one knows our faces nor our names. We are the salt of the dried up puddle, the honey, the spice and vinegar, the bitter-sweetness of live itself. We are servants of these fertile soils. We never lord over it. Our power resides with our healing charms and our respect for ALL. We will always count our blessings and heed the curse, "We have given you this Earth, if you can keep it." witches warlocks work the roots — trees flower and fruit © Kåre Enga (22.april.2025) [182.35] I always think kind thoughts for THANKFUL SONALI 18 WDC Years! President Trump's full Easter message: Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country. Happy Easter also to the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue, an attack so violent that it will never be forgotten! Sleepy Joe Biden purposefully allowed Millions of CRIMINALS to enter our Country, totally unvetted and unchecked, through an Open Borders Policy that will go down in history as the single most calamitous act ever perpetrated upon America. He was, by far, our WORST and most Incompetent President, a man who had absolutely no idea what he was doing -- But to him, and to the person that ran and manipulated the Auto Pen (perhaps our REAL President!), and to all of the people who CHEATED in the 2020 Presidential Election in order to get this highly destructive Moron Elected, I wish you, with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter!!! From Truth Social, reported on numerous media outlets. My opinion: "Trump's Easter Message" ![]() |

I don't normally make word searches but the grapevine suggests that there are a few WDC members who adore them. ![]() I guess we'll have to change them all to English now that Our Dear Leader abhors diversity, history or culture (unless it's his own). Sigh Since Montana is Spanish, therefore unacceptable, and impossible to pronounce (too many syllables) I propose Jeannette (after Jeannette Rankin, the first woman elected to Congress) Fred (after his father). I now live in Missoula, FR.

Fun! Here's one - near where I grew up - Ashtabula - near Lake Erie in Ohio - I was told it meant 'river of many fish'. Hard to prove. |

A poem I never made into a readable/reviewable item:
Wild and wet the spray the spray even now i feel it falling over soaking into becoming me the rocks the rocks hidden by the spume's sprung beauty deadly in the slippery gloss glistening slimy smooth your long tress of hair a stallion's mane the tail of a mare white light a thousand diamonds' flight a-falling from the heights misting misting in your dark green lair each strand wild and wet untamed © Kåre Enga 2008 [165.41] 2008-04-21 Inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's Green and White (1957/58): "Small vertical canvas of abstracted white cascade of a waterfall pouring down between dark green cliffs, dissipating into soft green mist at the bottom." https://collections.okeeffemuseum.org/object/36/ |

Tea-n-Tesla have no empathy. They're home-sweet-home wreckers. Personal failings aside (they are both all-too-recognizably human) their lack of empathy has created issues around the world (in my opinion). What is your take on their impact on you, your family or friends. For 18+ rated responses posting in my forum may be best: "Tea-n-Tesla have no empathy; They home-sweet-home wreckers." ![]() |
I feel attacked. Am I overacting, you may ask. I read about the present fascists trying to limit my right to be me. Do you find yourself in jeopardy? A broad statement; because, there are so many rights at risk. You may respond here [13+ rated] or in my Taboo forum "Fascist assaults on human dignity?" ![]() |
Questions of rights are much simpler matters to me than they seem to be for most folk. IMHO, John F. Kennedy, 35th President of the United States, summed it up very clearly and reasonably, "The rights of one [person] diminish where those of another begin." |

Word for my day: "Nyctinasty" refers to the circadian rhythm-based nastic movement of plants in response to changes in light intensity, particularly the onset of darkness, often described as a plant "sleeping". I used it in my comedic flash "View from the Vestibule " ![]() I once was chastised for using cacophony in a poem for a child and once a high-school teacher didn't like my using halcyon (I knew what it meant). It isn't a crime to use an uncommon word... just saying... |
It's one thing to write at an appropriate level for one's audience. It's quite another thing to dumb everything down so people won't learn new words. |

I'm going with Giambattista (1668-1744) Vico's definition of common sense: "judgment without reflection, shared by an entire class, an entire people, an entire nation, or the entire human race". I'm not great with "common sense" as I question reality and have always felt I was an outsider. Do you have common sense? In my "Blogville " ![]() ![]() |
Robert Waltz ![]() For instance, I've learned that water conducts electricity, that water spreads when not contained, and that electricity can injure and kill. When an electric stove catches on fire, I think (extremely quickly) about these and other factors. My personal version of common sense kicks in. I take more appropriate action, and I avoid dying in a puddle of electrified water. So in essence, common sense just means gathering as much knowledge as one can, and using that knowledge wisely in every situation. I've also learned that water can melt witches and reveal disguised and absconding embezzlers. ![]() ![]() |
Humble Poet PNG still humble ![]() I now have to wonder if I've done rocks an injustice by comparing them to idiots. Rocks, left to themselves, do nothing but lay around all day everyday, oft for millennia. They're immune to sunburn and pneumonia. So, it strikes me that rocks are really quite smart when deciding how to spend their non-lives. |
