| Happy Thursday! I'm having laptop issues. Once I get in the right mindset, I'll contact support. I get easily overwhelmed when it comes to technology. Still on the hunt for work. I have applications, mostly through Indeed, everywhere. I have a dog sitting gig starting this evening, another the first weekend in May, and one more pending. The last is a new client and we are set to meet early next week. God provides! I've messed up my right shoulder. I have small tears in both but I think I really messed it up. I'll have to go to the doctor soon. It really hurts! Y'all have a beautiful day and blessed Easter!    from me and Gracie!  |
| Happy Thursday from the little library computer! I'm still looking for my next job. I do have some applications out. I'm getting stir crazy at home! Gracie is loving that Mama is home all the time. | The last good morning from the little library. It's bittersweet. I look forward to moving on but will miss the people. A friend has put me in touch with a friend. She isn't hiring right now but wants to meet me. I'm going to meet her after work today. I have someone who will replace the oil sensor in my car for free.  Today is my Gracie Girl's gotcha day! Reply| It's my next to last day at the little library. Apparently the agency that I work here through messed up. They had sent a letter a few months ago stating that my last day is June 26. I get a call on Friday saying oh no, it's March 26. The library board doesn't have the funds to keep me. Oh well, so sorry, see ya. I'm upset at the lack of notice from the agency. I'm angry that the board has done 0 to raise funds in order to properly run the library. Signups for summer reading is in 2 months. I'm looking and have a few leads. |
| Happy Wednesday from the little library! Well, the other library decided to go with someone else. It's okay. The job that's meant for me will show up. It's been crazy windy here. We had severe weather the night before last. Gracie insists on telling the thunder off. The problem was that she heard the thunder long before I did and had me up at 4:30 a.m. I didn't have any damage at home but the little library lost its sign out front. It was wild because the sig was gone, the letters for the sign was gone but the long flourescent bulbs were laying on the ground virtually untouched. I have a 10 day dog sitting gig starting on Saturday. I can use the money! Y'all have a gorgeous day! from me and Gracie! |

Happy Wednesday from the little library! Another beautiful day here. Our first daffodils are blooming at the library. I love them! So, y'all, I have some news. I have an interview on Friday morning at another library! It's part time and pays more.  Prayers and good thoughts are appreciated. Gracie and I are both thriving now that we are going to the lot every day. We both feel good after some sunshine and fresh air. Y'all have a gorgeous day! from me and Gracie |
Good news! And  too. To me, Spring came early in Oklahoma: henbit, crocus, daffodils. Texas should be a week earlier. But... you've had very cold weather, so this must be nice. |

| Happy Tuesday from the little library! It's a beautiful,  springlike day. We're back to a normal schedule at the library so I can take Gracie to the lot in town and play chuck-it and let her run. We both love it! It's made a huge difference for us. I was walking out the door with her to return her to the shelter. She was too much. I was crying my eyes out. One of my neighbors was walking his 2 dogs. I've never seen him walk them, he usually plays with them in a space behind our places. He said hi and asked how I was. I lost it. I told him that I was surrendering Gracie. He asked me to wait while he took his dogs home. When he came back, he asked if he could walk Gracie. When they came back, he told me the problem was she's not getting enough exercise. He talked quietly and calmly to me giving me suggestions. By the time he left I had hope. Gracie was worn out and slept all day. The next day, when I was going to "the lot" with her, he and his wife were outside. I stopped to thank him and told him where we were going. He asked if I had a chuck-it. Uh, no. He had several and gave us one. We both love it! It's easy on my shoulder and she loves chasing it. Now if she'll just bring it back.  I guess she wants to make sure I get my steps in. I've found if I include her in my everyday stuff that she's a happier girl. Y'all have a gorgeous day! From me and Gracie |
| Take some small treats with you when you go to play your ball games with Gracie. Give her one ONLY if she brings the ball back to you and either drops it or puts it in your hand. The first time or two you may have to tell her or show her that you have a treat. I bet it won't take long before she is bringing the ball to you because she wants to get that treat. If she comes back to you without the ball, no treat! No need to do anything more than encourage her to go get the ball and bring it back. Then definitely give her a treat! Once she is bringing it back very reliably, you can start randomizing when you give her the treat for the ball. You can phase it out eventually, and she should still bring you back the ball. If she doesn't, it might be that it wasn't practiced quite enough. |
