Looking forward to it!
Friday, someone called my husband and wants to buy the gas station property. I want out, I won't lie about that. They called every day this week. Today, they shaved 50k off our asking price and want to close the deal TOMORROW. I may not have smart business sense, but I thought you needed lawyers for that to protect your interest. It feels a bit shady suddenly.

Any insightful thoughts would be appreciated.

You don't need lawyers to execute a business transaction, but it's definitely useful to have one... especially if you're not 100% clear on what you're being asked to sign when it comes time to paper the agreement. But if you're not comfortable negotiating the details of this transaction, you should definitely bring someone in to represent your interests. If not a lawyer, then perhaps a commercial real estate broker, who can advise on the value of the property?

Don't rush into an agreement you're uncomfortable with... a good deal for you will still be a good deal next week. There's almost always time to vet and consider your options before committing to a transaction, and — unless you're desperate to sell — if someone is pressuring you to sell quickly, that to me is usually an indicator that they think they're getting a great deal. Which naturally raises the question of whether you're getting less than you otherwise could.
Purple Celebrating 25! Author Icon - Based on that it seems like there might be others interested. I'm no real estate expert but a quick pushy buyer would get the hair on the back of my neck up.
This sounds like one of those places where angels fear to tread. I advise caution.
