| One of the things I really appreciate about WdC is that, for the most part, aside from an occasional rant (which I don't enjoy, from either side, but I do my best to ignore), there's not that much politics on here. Well, perhaps in people's private blogs, but I can pretty much freely roam the newsfeed and forums without too much concern of running into all the drama and opinion-dressed-up-like-news I see on the rest of the internet. | Indeed. Unlike Social Media there isn't any stress over countless issues pointless or otherwise. There is no comparing oneself to others or other such issues. I love to roam the newsfeed for relaxation. That is the true kind of relaxation, not the supposed relaxation of constantly checking Facebook or Twitter. This is also a great place to just be oneself without the threat of meeting other's expectations, not to mention the more entertaining posts such as our favorite three Guinea Pigs, MB/GP related posts, activities, or even wishing others a good day. |

| Brian K Compton , they aren't vanity publishers. They created the tools. They don't publish them for you. And though some of the stuff, like the crossword puzzle maker and sudoku maker, surely are AI. The coloring book maker isn't. It's all hand-drawn images you can mix and match in any way you want to make your own scenes. As for the things that help you find a good niche, yep, it uses AI, but then you write the novel, yourself, without using AI, so there's no AI to report. I hope that helps. |

Tip to Catch up in
When a contest allows more than one entry as both
and
do, you have a unique opportunity. Your brain is already thinking about the prompt and you're already familiar with the rules, so why not write 2 entries? But, Schnujo's Giving Away GPs , why would we do that? To catch up, of course! Check your list of contest months you're missing by finding your name in the "Current Competitors" list. You can use CTRL F to search on a PC. (Mac users, if you don't know how to search, ask someone else. IDK.) Then open all the "Previously Highlighted Contests" dropnotes and use CTRL F (or whatever Mac uses to do a Search) and search for the contest. I've highlighted both "Philosophical Musings"  and "Prince Challenge Writing Contest 2025" before. Do you need those months? Check and see! Of course, the other two contests are still fabulous contests. Allowing only 1 entry doesn't make them any less worthy of your writing.

Did you know new fans of "The Contest Challenge" get 10k???Yep! Click the heart in the upper right corner in the forum (not on the link, that fans me, though that also gets you 10k). When the heart in the forum turns gold, you'll find 10,000 GPs will soon find their way to your WdC bank!  Feel free to spread the word. I thought it was called something like Rotten Wishes? I checked my favorites and I have no saved interactives there, so I hope it's not deleted. Eek! Update: I checked and it IS favorited -- not sure why it didn't come up when I searched for all interactives in my favorites. Can you not do that? It was really fast and easy to write in. In it, you ruined the last person's wish and then wrote your own. For example, if the past person said they wished for a million dollars, you might say... Poof! You have a million dollars! You begin throwing bills into the air gleefully and imaging all the wonderful ways you'll spend them. Suddenly, a SWAT team is pounding on your door with a battering ram telling you your place is surrounded and demanding you give yourself up for the bank robbery earlier this morning. I wish to be popular. What interactive is this? Is it gone? I can't find it. I hope it's just a Schnjo moment. Update: No surprise. It was a Schnujo moment. But why could I find it when I searched all of WdC for interactives, but I couldn't find it in my own favorites when I had it saved as a favorite? Things that make you go, "Hmm..." |
