I bought some gooseberries, scapes, and rainbow chard at the farmers market. I'm thinking for dinner tomorrow: fried pork chops with gooseberry gastrique, a rainbow chard stem quick pickle. Char the scapes and sauté theSwiss chard leaves, and serve it all over some polenta

Been a rather eventful week...first I dropped my laptop and busted the screen...went to a friend's show Saturday and had an amazing time...made lots of new friends... on Sunday morning I played disc golf and on the final hole i tripped on a root, fell down a hill and into a tree and have a mild concussion, and I rested today. You take the good with bad, I guess.
