Speed Reading/reviewing- 1000 word story won't even take me five minutes to read, and you'll get a review within 10 minutes of me reading it. As it is, my reviews are usually around 300 Characters- minus my Review Sig. However, sometimes they'll reach the 1,000 Character mark. Depends on the Story/item. *Bigsmile*

Interactives that don't have an actual story started - Give me some meat to eat there before you ask me to look at it, with at least one thread being at least 10 chapters long, and not just choices that aren't even developed, preferably written by your own hand. Books - well, not through a Review Request page anyways, as I'd would have to review the book itself and not the Chapter, in order to get paid, but I will review them if you ask me in an email. A silver cane - who would own one? Someone with money perhaps. A Werewolf Hunter not wanting to make their trade obvious but still wanting a means to battle their prey, or otherwise protect themselves or whomever a werewolf is after. However, it seems that the Protagonist had an encounter with a vampire, and that makes me wonder all the more. Why would a vampire have a silver cane? Is there a war involving werewolves going on? One must wonder.

I'll admit - I can be hard to shop for. There's a short list of things I want, and that tends to be D&D adjacent items these days. I just like the idea of having those new and unique beings, and subclasses, and even classes, at my fingertips, as I try to create a world filled with them. Sometimes I wish that certain setting types would be made, so that I could figure out how to do an Old West or Modern type of campaign, or a Sci-Fi one. As for what I really enjoy - grandma's cookies. She's 80+ years old. Not many Christmases left. I want to enjoy as many of them cookies as I can. It's more than just a cookie after all.

What is it with Christmas and Commercialism? Jim Carrey's The Grinch had something to say about it. I mean, he had at least two, if not three, rants about them, when they were together. Likewise, Santa, in Violent Night, also had his own mini-rant about it, comparing children to junkies that wanted the next cool thing. Of course, in both cases, it was a child that helped them to realize what the true meaning of Christmas was. Great movies by the way.

What does Success mean, besides Money or Status? This depends on each person. For someone that plays TTRPGs (tabletop roleplaying games), finishing a campaign might be seen as a success. Likewise, having the various books needed to create the perfect character - or at least that crazy and over-the-top one that you really want to play as - might be a success. For someone running a business, having all of the equipment needed, and having it in working order, might be a success. There are a lot of ways to measure success.

Well, a very cute piece of flash fiction. Prompt is - "I'm only going to say this once". It leads to the first speaker being recorded by another person, a spouse by the sounds. I have to wonder about who is confessing, and what are they saying that they are wrong about. Is it big, is it small, was it the husband or the wife? I wonder if we'll find out.

What is it about loans? They are long-term payment plans for those that don't have the money at the moment. Most loans have a Minimum Payment that one must pay each month or so. Thankfully, if one can, they can pay a little extra, in order to reduce any Interest on the loan. This can help save money in the long run, and pay off a loan much quicker. This is something I used to pay off my home, which is, funny enough, a few months older than my account here.

Life, snow, and cats. Where there's one, odds are, the others will show up somewhere. Sometimes it takes a while, depending upon the area. Cats tend to show up along with life - hard to find a place that doesn't have one. Always unpredictable - friendly one moment, angry like the Devil the next. If an area can get cold enough, snow will eventually fall, and next thing one knows, it's like, "Where's that cat at? Oh, there's the tracks." Always something with them.

Well, this looks like the start of something interesting. A woman, anticipating the joy of Christmas morning, wakes up, and finds that not only is she no longer in her bed, she's not even in her own time period, or so it seems, as it looks like she has somehow ended up a thousand years in the past. It makes one wonder - How did this happen? Where is she? and How will she get back home? Lots of good questions to think on.

What does one want to be remembered for? Well, there is a trope to keep in mind - What You Are in the Dark. Basically, it's where you are true to yourself, when no one else - or at least those that matter - are watching. A good example of this is found in Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier (a parody of Aladdin and other Disney movies), where Ja'far, who is hated by the population, to the point that folks say, "This is all your fault!" and "(Forget) you!" whenever they see him. In truth, he's trying to give good advice to the ruler, as well as the Princess, and his loyalty to the kingdom is such that he pretty much sacrifices his life to save the Princess from the vile Aladdin (and the kingdom itself from the invading Pik'zahr forces - Prince Achmed didn't like the tiger messing with his pants!). Then again, Ja'far had a very good reason as to why he was always looking out for the Princess, a reason he only truly figured out before making his sacrifice - Turns out that his Pregnant Wife, who had been taken by the Sultan, and had died in childbirth, was the Princess's mother, meaning that - Ja'far will not allow the vile Aladdin (who is, among other things, a multiple murderer, in this story) lay hands upon the Princess, once she sees Aladdin for the wicked criminal they are.

What is it about writing that we just enjoy? Some say that it is wild. Others call it tame. However, I think that those who are truly in the know, would say that writing goes both ways. On the one hand, we can tell nice and gentle stories, that are safe for all to enjoy. On the other hand, we can make some truly wild stories, to sort of which we wouldn't want our God-Fearing grandmothers to read - and we would be rather shocked to catch them not only reading said stories, but enjoying them. Always something.

An old woman and her great-granddaughter end up taking something of a pilgrimage to see a sacred landmark for their people. However, it seems that others seem to think that the area where the landmark is located is for sale. While this story itself is, most likely, fictional, there is a certain truth about folks that destroy what others see as sacred in the name of progress. Makes one wonder if we have learned what is truly important.

An interesting poem to read. It is from the view of a wolf that is a leader of their group, as they try to lead the pack through life's challenges. Personally, as you can probably tell, I like writing about wolves, as they can be both savage, and caring, depending on the situation, traits that have managed to survive in their domesticated kin - dogs. The same one can be a bundle of affection one moment, and fiercely protective the next. Makes one wonder what the world looks like through their eyes.

What is it about Thanksgiving that's supposed to make it special? Many know of the first Thanksgiving, but who really knows what actually happened that day. After all, things weren't always nice between folks before or afterwards. Then there's when the Holiday gets Recognized - during the middle of a war, probably as an attempt to show unity during a trying time. Nowadays, there's things we tend to do around this point an time - give to the needy, spend time with family, and a number of others that show generosity - why don't we do that more often? Honestly, all I know is this - someone pass the mashed potatoes and gravy - I'm starving over here.

Just some rules about Disney Land/World. Now, many of these rules make sense - no weapons, no drugs, wear appropriate clothing, don't steal from their business or mess with the folks in the costumes - I understand them. So, where's the crazy ones that make you go, "So, what's the Noodle Incident behind this rule?" (Like, not being allowed to bring livestock into the park - I just made that one up, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's there in some form.) Those are the ones you have to wonder about.

Smiles, the seemingly universal sign of friendliness - unless it's one of those Slasher Smiles sorts, in which case, Run! Funny enough, there's a handful of Youtube Channels under the Starbound banner - Starbound HFY, Starbound Extra, Starbound Romance, and Starbound Fantasy - where, every time a new alien race is about to encounter Humanity, the friendly ones are, at the very least, informed that a smile is a sign of friendship, even if herbivore aliens have a thing against pointy teeth being flashed at them.

Pets - that always seem to do something to cause trouble. It gets worse when there's two, or more, that cause issues in different ways. One knocks stuff over, and then the second chews the stuff up. Had a plastic T-ball bat, 40+ years old, got chewed up by one dog after a second pulled it out of its spot. I lost count of the daily messes those two made. got to laugh though - I hope that they have mostly settled down now.

I have to chuckle at the word - enshitification - how often does one get a chance to get away with saying such a phrase? Sounds like one gets covered in manure upon saying it. That being said, sadly, it does seem like the internet is getting filled with - what's a polite word to use - garbage, of one sort or another. The trick is sorting out the treasure from the trash. Once one knows how to do that, things get easier.

As someone, who comes from a long line of farmers, and enjoys gardening, I can understand why folks are worried about plants that are GMOs - Genetically Modified Organisms. I mean, with an Heirloom, the idea is that, so long as it was self-pollinated or pollinated with others of that cultivar, it will be genetically identical to others of that cultivar, minus any regional differences. As for a Hybrid, it doesn't breed true to type - plants grown drom the seeds of such plants will not be identical to their parents. Then, there's GMOs, which, in many cases, are sterile, so there goes trying to save seeds anyways.

Cats are always interesting. That being said, New York is something I know a bit about. Are you talking about New York City, or New York state in general, as there is more to New York than just NYC, and I wish that folks would understand that detail. After all, I live out in the middle of the countryside, right where the scent of Fresh Country Air can be found (that's a euphemism for the scent of cow manure, which hits its peak in the middle of Summer, especially on hot days). Once you smell it, you'll never forget how wonderful it is. *Laugh*

Growing old, after a certain point, just tends to suck. If you're lucky, it's because you're just getting older. However, most folks have injuries from foolish incidents they did when younger, injuries that are now wanting their pay, with interest. Needless to say, this causes pain, and pain makes things that were once enjoyable not so enjoyable. It can be worse when restrictions are in place.

What is a home built with? Is is simply wood, metal, stone, brick, cement, screws and nails? Wires that carry electricity? Witches - there have been many of them. For some, they are, or serve, Evil, being in league with the Devil Himself. For others, they are Good, dispensing medicine and wisdom. Then there are those whose stories that have both Good and Evil witches. Terry Pratchett himself made use of a number of Good witches, and one that wasn't Good (ironically, that one believed that she was Good, but had done so much Evil, she had forced her Twin to be the Good one, much to the Twin's annoyance, as she would have done Evil properly). Always interesting.

November - for some, it's about the eventual Turkey Day. For you, it's about your own birth, as well as the death of your mother. You talk about the struggles you have faced, as she was your best friend. In a way, I can understand - my stepfather's father died before Thanksgiving, and his mother before Christmas (funny enough, they were divorced), and while my stepfather knew that his father was ill, he didn't know about his mother - that took him and his siblings by surprise.
