Speed Reading/reviewing- 1000 word story won't even take me five minutes to read, and you'll get a review within 10 minutes of me reading it. As it is, my reviews are usually around 300 Characters- minus my Review Sig. However, sometimes they'll reach the 1,000 Character mark. Depends on the Story/item. *Bigsmile*

Interactives that don't have an actual story started - Give me some meat to eat there before you ask me to look at it, with at least one thread being at least 10 chapters long, and not just choices that aren't even developed, preferably written by your own hand. Books - well, not through a Review Request page anyways, as I'd would have to review the book itself and not the Chapter, in order to get paid, but I will review them if you ask me in an email. There's nothing quite like meeting a friend, especially if there has been years since the last time you met. Had that not too long ago with a D&D buddy of mine - hadn't seen them since 2020, and I ran into them a few months ago. I try to visit them at their game shop every so often. It was interesting to meet them again - wish that they could play with my current group, but they got a store to run. Always interesting.

Meeting up with old friends is always interesting.

What is it with cats, those feline beings that like to be silent until the last moment, only to then jump out at you. Or there's those that wait until you're a step away before running away. Then there's those with pitiful meows, ones that just make you wonder. Then there's those where, just after you've been sitting for a while, decide to climb your leg, and curl up on your lap, all but daring you to move them. Always something.

Well, an interesting poem. Two late 18th / early 19th century warships encounter each other during wartime, and battle ensues. However, despite the fighting, and carnage, captains, officers, and crews of both ships seem to respect the others' courage, to the point that when the one side was defeated, and taken prisoner, the one captain allowed the other to keep their sword, and thus their dignity. Interestingly, Switchel is a sugary drink that is made from honey, ginger, and sometimes, while at sea, rum.

Thoughts
One has to respect the courage of both ships crews.

An interesting item to read. It talks about the different types of ghosts and spirits. Some are friendly, or at least mean no harm to the living. Some just like to cause mischief, and are just an annoyance. Then, there are those that are hostile, and rather dangerous. Personally, I hope that the ghosts in my area are the friendly sort, especially since those that died within the past 30+ years were family and friends. Makes one think.

Honestly, there are days that I'm glad that I'm not active on social media. I try to avoid politics, and a bunch of other things that I don't understand, because someone will take my ignorance as a sign that I'm a bigot, or some such thing. That is both annoying, and unfortunate, not to mention very sad, especially for me, as I'm not, to the best of my knowledge, intentionally a bigot, but some folks make up their opinions in two seconds and label you, using Gorilla Glue to stick it in place. Not easy to deal with.

Fall and Halloween, the time when folks like to bring out the various decorations - scarecrows, skeletons, witches, ghosts, goblins, evil dragons, and so many more - all to delight, wonder, maybe even scare, those who see them. Then, there's the various movies that show up on the TV - zombie movies, slashers, demons, space aliens, and so many more. Makes one wonder what will pop up next.

Ah, the Recreational Vehicle, which lets you take your camping on the road, living in cramped quarters, dealing with mysterious smells, never ending leaky roofs, and a bad place for a toilet - yeah, I'm not living on one any time soon - know of folks that tried, and don't want to do that ever again. I mean, camping has its own issues already, but a bad RV is even worse, as you spend so many thousands of dollars on it. Not fun when there's trouble.

Looks like it's that time of the year, when the spooks come out of the ground - it's a trick, grab an axe! Leaves change color, from green to gold, and many more, before tumbling on down. Some poor witch just crashed into a tree again - told them to watch their drinking! Fools making dumb decisions - just put the slasher guy into the ground for once! Plenty of monsters showing up - bring out the boomstick for Pete's sake!

So, using AI to "interview" a dead person in order to get their opinion on stuff.

Reminds me of a scene in "I, Robot", where Detective Spooner has to ask a hologram projector of a dead researcher/scientist what's going on. "I'm sorry. My responses are limited." Thus, he must ask the right questions.

Personally, I have my own take on the whole gun violence thing, which comes from growing up with guns, and seeing them as tools and not necessarily only as weapons.

Thumbs and brains - what is the connection? That is, besides us using our brains to control our thumbs? Is there something special between them, or is it just a coincidence? Many primates have thumbs and brains, so, what makes us so special? I do not know, and I doubt we'll ever truly understand the real reason that we are the way we are. Still, folks will keep trying to find out. I wish them luck.

We can sail for adventure upon the open waters, assuming that we are by the open waters, and that we have access to a sailing vessel, and that we know how to sail. This is also assuming that the Navy equivalent isn't going to bother us too. Still, there are many places to go - North, South, East, West - all depending on the body of water. So, if you want to be King of the Pirates, cast off those ropes, and set sail for adventure!

Just don't capsize the ship!

Cow Tools - the idea that cattle, if sapient, would make ugly and inelegant items. Well, to be fair, a lot of humans' early tools were also ugly and inelegant, but, here's the thing - they got the job done. What jobs - cutting meat, killing animals, cutting down trees, digging roots for food, and so many more. Of course, one issue in the comic might be that the cattle in question had cattle hands - human hands might be more useful.

Well, this is an item that, as someone who grows grapes and other berries as a bit of a hobby, might find interesting. Seems that there's something called a spotted lanternfly that gives those that grow grapes, stone fruits, and other things a whole lot of issues. Thankfully, it seems that someone has come up with a solution that might put an end to the average grower's worries. Hopefully, it does well.

October - the time of the years when trees change colors, witches fly, zombies crawl out of their graves, and so many spooky things. Then, there's all the other things, like birds flying South, certain weather patterns increasing in frequency, and folks getting ready for a Winter that tends to act like a Drama Queen that may not even show up to the party anyways.

Sometimes one must chuckle upon hearing innuendos and entradas - in this case, there's a type of bird that's called a tit. While raising young, they tend to stay faithful. However, once the kids have left the nest for the final time, they go to the divorce lawyers and separate. I don't know who gets the nest, and who gets the boot though. Maybe they sell it and spit the money 50-50.

Light - well, let's put it this way, without light, what's the point in having eyeballs at all? Many creatures that live where there's no light don't have the greatest of eyesight, with most being all but blind, if noy all the way blind. One might wonder why eyes were evolved, but, one must admit, things look nicer when you can see. After all, as the saying goes - a sight for sore eyes.

Cats are always interesting. There's this outdoor farm/feral cat that walks around were I live. Try to walk up to her, she runs away. Stand still, and do some "Meow"s, and she might come up to to you, close enough to let you pet her, maybe pick her up, but when she wants down, pit her down. Annoyingly, my next door neighbor has something of a claim on her - don't know if it's official, but she's crazy, so why chance things.

A caper of epic proportions - or it would be, if it wasn't so funny. An officer has an odd dream, involving some rather crazy things, involving two famous leaders, and a dog. Next thing he knows, he looses a shoe, and then his car, and crazy things happen to the car. Will he get the car back? Who knows?

Behold! The power of Cheese!

Cheese has been around for a long time, and is one of the main ways that milk from animals has been eaten - even those with lactose issues can enjoy this food, especially the hard ones. Sadly, American sliced cheese is not friendly for such folk. But, then again, Cheddar and crackers are a delicious pairing, especially with some meat. Yummy to say the least.

There are many kinds of enchantments. Some are simple, like a random rock found in a creek - I actually have such a rock, a shell embedded in clay. Others are things like a stuffed toy, or even a hand-made blanket. They all hold some sort of meaning - gift from family, heirloom, a found treasure - all special. Some hold great significance, and others just make one chuckle.

Concrete and Roses - these tend to be opposites, in one way or another. Concrete is seen as dull, ugly, hard, as well as strong. Roses are seen as beautiful, bright, as well as delicate, with a bit of a thorny side. You will rarely find a rose bush in a patch of concrete, as concrete doesn't sustain life. Roses though, they represent life for many, even it's thorns. One might wonder.

Salt is an interesting thing. In fact, some cultures see salt as so sacred, if you are in another's home, and you eat their food that contains salt, you are honor bound to do the host no harm. There's even a case (in Middle Eastern mythology) where a burglar broke into home, stole what they thought was sugar (which was worth stealing), only to find that it was salt, the theft of which broke Sacred Hospitality (and could lead to bad luck in the form of lightning bolts). The thief returned the salt, and all that they stolen.

Nothing quite like a good book series, especially one that has a community of fans behind it. Some communities will even last long after the original author's death. With the various Wiki Fandoms out there, they can be easy to find, and connect with. Of course, as with all communities, sometimes you will find folks that are either jerks, or have egos the size of Alaska (sorry Texas, but Alaska's bigger), that will cause you issues - I would know about this. Others though, decent enough to forge a decade+ long bond, united in appreciation of a topic.
