Frankly this is an astonishing piece, so visceral. In much the same way as American Psycho or the Wasp Factory I can in no way recommend this, but neither can I find fault. The writing is perfect and the author is clearly a master of this particular genre however I feel some form of mental assistance would be preferable to publication, that said I did read it twice and would love to see more.
I like this a lot reminds of The Mind Parasites by Colin Wilson, a wonderful concept that asks an important question. How far would humanity go for an easy life? I like to think that the answer is that we'd fight, but I worry that we wouldn't.
Interesting. I like the unfolding nature of it, seems like it could be a wonderful introduction to a much larger story as well as standing very well on it's own two feet.
I'm very curious to read the results of further study of these beasts, hopefully the information learned will be of use in establishing some form of breeding program, hopefully leading to the same sort of success that has been had with the once nearly estinct phoenix.
I like the style of this piece, simple but with a good turn of phrase to it. It's also a wonderfully observed comment on a certain situation that those with less sedantry life styles are familiar with, what do items do you simply posess and which items speak to your inherent nature
Great idea for a short, but then hey I'm a massive Mythbusters fan. Snappy, fun cracks along quickly but still manages to keep you guessing. I like it.
