My first thoughts were of the initial speaker. Ordering what I assume is some kind of assistant to drive him where he wants tells me the speaker is wealthy enough to afford such things. The flashback tells me about trauma as a child. And the visit to the grave with a Zen Garden as a birthday present tells me closure has been achieved, but my question is how? I suppose the conflict or climax would have come before this scene. Left me a little bewildered, but is a well written scene. I can see myself being there.
This was fun. I'd like to try making own of my own. I've seen a few different Alice in Wonderland movies, but I would like to read the book or books, I'm not sure if there are more than one about that world.
That was a lovely origin story. I can almost see Tolkien on your bookshelf at home. I love the name of the troll. I only wonder what his wife's name is, and his children. I half expected it to lead to some sort of creature crossing the bridge, but meeting a lady troll and having trollettes was a nice twist at the end.
Good read. Write on.
