Review of He's the One  Open in new Window.
In affiliation with Steph Bee's Bee Hive  Open in new Window.
Rated: E | (4.0)

This story does a great job creating atmosphere, the rural airport, the biting Kansas wind, and the tiny puddle, jumper all build a vivid sense of place. The back-and-forth between the two women feels natural, and Wendy’s internal thoughts add humor and tension. The emotional core lands well: her mix of protectiveness, worry, and hope gives the ending real weight. To improve it, consider trimming a few repetitive descriptions and tightening some of the longer sentences to keep the pacing snappy. Overall, it’s engaging, relatable, and sets up the emotional stakes nicely.

Review of A Kid's Halloween  Open in new Window.
In affiliation with Steph Bee's Bee Hive  Open in new Window.
Rated: E | (5.0)
This came up as my Random Read & Review, so here I am! This is a cute and fun Halloween poem with a light, friendly tone. The rhyme flows smoothly, and the imagery of monsters, pirates, witches, and a friendly ghost creates a nice sense of spooky-but-safe adventure. The moment of meeting the ghost is charming, and the ending adds a sweet twist as the ghost “disappears inside,” suggesting he has been set free. The poem is easy to imagine, cheerful, and perfect for younger readers or anyone who enjoys a gentle Halloween scene. You've done an excellent job, thank you for sharing!

Review of Intimacy with God  Open in new Window.
In affiliation with Steph Bee's Bee Hive  Open in new Window.
Rated: E | (4.5)

This piece is heartfelt and calls readers to slow down and reconnect with God in a busy, distracted world. It reminds us that taking time for prayer and quiet is not only important but necessary for spiritual health. The section about sin is clear and honest, showing that we must come to God with clean hearts and true repentance. The writing becomes very warm and uplifting in the “Holy of Holies” part, describing the joy, wisdom, and peace found in God’s presence. The conclusion wraps everything together and leaves the reader with a strong message: nothing compares to time spent with God or the love He gives. It is thoughtful, devotional, and encouraging.

This popped up in my Random Review & TRead, so here I am! This piece feels warm, thoughtful, and very personal. It does a great job showing how the narrator is drawn to family stories and old photos, and how those memories don’t always match the reality they see now. The contrast between the narrator’s playful nature and the almost legendary reputation of Pa adds interest, especially as the child starts to question whether the stories are fully true. The writing captures that moment when a kid realizes family history can be part fact and part myth, making the piece relatable and engaging. You've done a great job, thank you for sharing!

Review of Back To It  Open in new Window.

Rated: 13+ | (4.0)
This popped up in my Random Read & Review, so here I am! This piece is honest, emotional, and very real. It takes the reader through a hard life with pain, abuse, and loss, but also shows strength, survival, and a slow return to creativity. The writing feels personal and vulnerable, and it’s easy to understand the struggle of losing your words and then trying to find them again. The story moves from darkness toward hope, and by the end, it leaves the sense that the writer is ready for a new beginning. You've done a great job! Thank you for sharing.

This popped up on my Random Read & Review, so here I am! This story is exciting and moves quickly. It starts with a tense interrogation that immediately pulls the reader in. Saran’s answers build mystery, and the twist where she transforms into a dragon is fun and dramatic. The pacing is fast, the danger feels real, and the ending sets up more conflict with Boris and his crew. Overall, it’s an engaging, easy-to-follow fantasy scene with a strong reveal. I don't have any suggestions. I'm assuming this is for the Daily Flash Fiction Challenge, based on the prompt usage. You've crafted a great story with limited words!

This popped up in my Random Read & Review, so here I am! This story shows how a small problem leads to a big change in Mona’s life. When her bus is delayed, she buys a red sweater that reminds her how much she used to love knitting. That memory pushes her to start knitting again, first as a small hobby and then as a real job. As people praise her work and start ordering sweaters, she finds new hope, more happiness, and more time for her daughter. It is a warm story about how one small moment can open the door to a better future. This is perfect! Thank you for sharing!

This came up in "Read & Review", so here I am! This story shows a fun and wild night at an alien dance club. The details about the different species, the music, and the dancing make the scene easy to picture. The narrator is having a great time, while his friend Gordo is grumpy and worried, which creates a good contrast. The humor works well, especially when the narrator misunderstands the aliens’ gestures. Overall, it is a lively and imaginative scene with a playful voice and lots of creative world-building. Great job! Thank you for sharing.

This came up in "Read & Review", so here I am! This poem shows a young girl walking to the altar and asking God to forgive her. The small details make the scene easy to picture, and her prayer feels honest and emotional. When she feels the Holy Spirit, her sadness lifts and she smiles again. By the end, she knows her job is to share God’s love with others. Overall, it’s a sweet, clear poem about finding peace and a new sense of purpose. I don't see any spelling or grammar issues, so I have no suggestions. Great job, thank you for sharing!

This popped up in my "Read & Review", so here I am! This little poem gives a playful take on pranks, starting with the fun and laughter they bring on TV before shifting to the more serious truth that real-life pranks can hurt people. The rhyme keeps it light, but the message is gentle and honest: what’s funny on screen isn’t always kind in reality. Overall, it’s a short, thoughtful reminder to consider the feelings of others. I don't see any typos or issues with grammar, so I have no suggestion. Thank you for sharing!

Each stanza builds on the idea of being understood, supported, and finally cherished. The poem flows smoothly and captures the feeling of love arriving quietly but completely, turning hope into something real. It’s sweet, uplifting, and beautifully expressed. Review of Game Models  Open in new Window.
In affiliation with Steph Bee's Bee Hive  Open in new Window.
Rated: E | (4.0)

I saw the autoreward for this story, so I thought I'd give it a read. You didn't disappoint. I've used apps that gamify everyday activities, but the idea of a holographic one is cool. This story is about Samir, a college student in 2087 who turns a simple class project into Game Models, a huge AR game that makes real life feel like a quest. What starts as a fun idea, using holograms to turn chores, schoolwork, fitness, and budgeting into missions, quickly impresses his professor, who helps him build a team and turn it into a real product. The game becomes a worldwide hit, and an AI called QEAI begins guiding Samir’s everyday life with tasks, rewards, and reminders. Two years later, Samir sees how big his idea has become and how it now shapes his day, his choices, and the lives of millions of players around the world.

You could strengthen the story by tightening the opening so the main idea appears faster, and by adding a bit more conflict, such as technical problems, team tension, or pressure from Augmentix, to raise the stakes. It would also help to show small hints earlier that QEAI is gaining too much control, giving the later reveal more impact. Adding a little more of Samir’s emotions during key moments would deepen the connection to him, and breaking up a few dense paragraphs would make the pacing smoother. Finally, you might weave in a clearer theme, whether it's about tech improving life or slowly taking it over, to give the story an extra layer of meaning. Overall, you've done an excellent job! Thank you for sharing.

I came across this in "Read & Review", so here I am! This story shows a woman trapped in a very abusive and painful relationship. The man, Arthur, looks perfect on the outside, rich, well-dressed, and charming, but he is cruel and violent when they are alone. The writing describes her fear, her injuries, and how she feels like she has lost herself because of his control. She tries to survive each night, doing whatever she must to avoid making things worse. Overall, it is a dark and emotional look at how abuse can break someone down, both physically and mentally. You've done a great job! Thank you for sharing.

Review of Yellow Snow  Open in new Window.

Rated: 13+ | (4.5)

I came across this in "Read & Review", so here I am! This story follows a group of friends on a winter trip to a mountain cabin, where everyone struggles to deal with Jack’s younger brother Tony, who is rude, selfish, and constantly trying to show off. Even though Tony overhears the others admitting they don’t like him, he decides to “prove them wrong” with forced good behavior, but his real attitude keeps slipping through. The group settles in at the cabin, tries to enjoy their evening, and deals with Tony’s crude comments and small attempts at pretending he’s changed. The next morning, they all head out to ski, where Tony’s bad habits, smoking, and stubbornness catch up with him. His wild ride down the hill ends in a crash, right into the yellow snow where he’d peed earlier, leaving the rest of the group laughing once they know he’s okay. Overall, it’s a character-driven piece showing how hard it is to reform someone who doesn’t actually want to change. You've done a great job! Thank you for sharing.

This came up in my "Read & Review", so here I am! This story shows a sweet and emotional moment between a husband and wife. Their talk feels real, and you can tell they have been through hard times together. The slow reveal of the winning lottery ticket adds good tension and keeps the reader interested. Both characters come across as kind, worried, and hopeful, and the ending leaves you feeling warm as they think about how their lives are about to change for the better. Thank you for sharing!

Thius came up in "Read & Review", so here I am! This parody rewrites the original song in a funny, exaggerated way, focusing on a guy who eats a lot and loves being big. The jokes are broad and cartoon-like, with over-the-top lines about huge clothes, tons of food, and people cheering him on. It’s not meant to be serious at all- just loud, silly, and playful. Good job!

Review of Way Less Sad  Open in new Window.

I was to happy to come across this in "Read & Review". This poem is about someone who feels tired, sad, and worn out after a long day. Their thoughts feel heavy and mixed up, and even simple things seem hard. But then they hear a song from another room, and it slowly makes them feel a little better. The music helps them get through chores, remember happier times, and relax a bit. Even though they still struggle with worry and trouble sleeping, the song brings some comfort and makes the night easier to face. I have no suggestions because it's perfect!

I found this in "Read & Review", so here I am! This poem talks about how confusing and stressful the world can feel, especially for young people. It jumps between ideas like pain, politics, pressure, and the way society argues about what is “right.” The images are bold and sometimes strange, showing how mixed messages and strong opinions can overwhelm kids and teens. Overall, the poem gives a sense of frustration and chaos, reflecting how hard it can be to grow up in a world full of noise and conflict. Thank you for sharing with us.

This came up in my "Read & Review", so here I am! This poem looks at how sudden, surprising messages on our phones can create fear, confusion, and emotional strain. It shows how a simple notification can feel calculated and unsettling, and how constant digital “invitations” or warnings can overwhelm people in a world already struggling to stay steady. In the end, it suggests that these moments hit hardest on those who are already hurting, turning everyday communication into something chaotic and draining. Very well written!

This popped up in my "read & Review", so here I am! This poem is about realizing you loved an idea of someone, not who they truly were. The speaker sees how they ignored the warning signs and held on to a version of this person that wasn’t real. As the truth becomes clear, they begin to choose themselves instead. The review shows hurt, but also strength, and ends with a hopeful message about letting go of what was false and becoming whole again. Overall, you've crafted a lovely poem! Thank you for sharing.

This poem cam across my "Read & Review", so here I am! This poem talks about how the first Adam brought pain and loss, while Jesus, the “second Adam,” brought humility and hope. It encourages us to be humble like Jesus, not just on the outside but in our hearts. It also reminds us that being close to Him is a gift made possible by God’s Spirit. What a lovely poem! This poem talks about how a simple candle gives off a warm, gentle light that makes a room feel safe and calm. The candle’s glow helps guide your steps so you don’t stumble. Then the poem connects that soft light to the light of Jesus Christ, saying His love and guidance last forever and bring comfort just like the candle, but in a deeper, everlasting way. Wonderful!
