Ah! Your little thief was at my place as well. He left the garbage alone but attacked my birdseed and played a con on my heart strings that night. I thoroughly enjoyed your haiku and its romp through the nocturnal meanderings of one of natures little bandits. I had one a couple of springs back that stuck around for three days. They are a delight to observe. Thanks for posting.
Interesting piece on your're hobby and how it became part of you. Those kind of journeys tend to be the most important ones in our lives. They are personally the most rewarding also. I was never called to duty in 1969 but I would have gone if called. I still felt the effects as I have lost several friends as a result of the war. Thanks my friend for posting this.
Avery well penned poem and I especially liked the form. I've often thought three line stanzas would be fun to work with. Your eloquence and elegance are a delight to peruse and well worth the time spent reading. Line seven was especially captivating. Thanks for sharing.
A very nice poem of the kinder garden flavor and an journey following a young girl around on her first day at school. Was the girl in the poem someone you know perhaps? I especially enjoyed the fifth stanza with it's note to mom and the teacher's reference to " brat. " Sometime small children tend to stretch one's patience. Excellent work and a pleasure to peruse. Thanks for sharing.

Bob Dylan once wrote, " The times they are a changin. " and your acrostic poem does justice to his words. A very well penned poem indeed! The first line is a great opener and the rest is right on track with the overall theme. May we all be able to change with the times and let happiness follow us always.
Dealing with suicide is one of those things that is not always easy to recognize in others and always tough on family when it happens. I lost two very close friends to suicide and neither one should have left so soon. It left me shattered for some time and I'll never forget them. Your message rings true and deals with the loneliness that often ends with someone taking their own life. Thanks for posting.
A beautifully penned work of art and I think I've seen copies of that Monet. We have a different one of his in our living room. Of course there are many pictures of mine all over the place. Thanks for sharing such a masterfully crafted gem. It was a pleasure to peruse. Full of taste like a fine wine on a sunny summer afternoon.
I loved the tiny nuances of love and the descriptiveness of your passion is superbly highlighted in this little gem. How many times are those silences deafening but understood. A thoughtfully penned poem of love and longing. A very nice presentation and a pleasure to peruse.
And the multitude of stars shall rule creation as the creator has foretold. A nicely thought out reason for all life's existence in the vastness of the universe. It takes into consideration all living things both animal and otherwise. Nicely penned. Keep sharing.
Very nicely rendered poem Mooky Chick. Sensual and elegant in it's execution with colors as the theme but never mentioning the hues, very clever. You changed the norm by presenting it in sentence form. Which made this old poet take notice. A lovely gentle flow and a pleasure to peruse. Thanks for sharing.
So sorry for your loss of someone so special. It is a very difficult thing to lose a person that means so much in life. All we really are is those memories. They are held close to our hearts and forever remembered. I have lost more than one over the years. Nicely penned poem. Thanks for sharing.
We had an Irish Setter who became part of our family for 16 years. He finally had a stroke and hung on for another three months. We finally had to take him down and do the same as you did. It's always hard for the heart when you have to lose a member of your family like that. Very heartbreaking story. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like the Goat Lady was one of those memorable people that always seem to stick in our minds. This was a great story and a tantalizing peek at a local and colorful character. I found it easy to read and it holds the readers attention through to the end. Nicely penned. Thanks for sharing.
A nicely presented fantasy and elegant in its description. I like the way you held out til the end to let your readers know about his tail. A good writer knows when to hold out to the end with some of the details. It was a pleasure to peruse this well penned fiction.
I can say as a former wild soul that if the beacon is bright enough and the heart has much love then the taming can be achieved. Your poem was a beautifully executed work of art. It was a pleasure to peruse and a joy to behold. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful love poem.
Blackmail can be an awfully dirty business. Your character in this fiction wants to be extremely careful.
Lest it backfires on her and becomes an evil she does not wish to cope with. Love from a rocky start is not very easily maintained. Thanks for sharing and keep writing.
A bittersweet poem about the loss of a family pet and coping with those feeling afterward. Only we whom have pets can experience those kinds of feelings. It was a well penned poem about your experience and how you remember Lil' Woofer in the end. Thanks for sharing and keep writing.
Yes, I hear the coyotes howl at night and can picture this very clearly. Both story and content are exceptional. The detail of your description is superb. It begs the reader to read to the end. A skilled writer can accomplish that technique only after lots of practice. A pleasure to read with no suggestions for improvement.
A very, very elegantly penned poem of love and denial. Life can sometimes be so cruel and hearts so weak and fragile. The rhyme pattern was simple and the lines short which I think added more impact to the this gem of a poem. Excellent work my friend. Thanks for sharing.
Almost a poetic mantra. The guilt interwoven in the fabric of the quilt. The hands as well as the mind needing to be occupied and soothed at the same time. A very nicely penned thinking piece. Simply worded as it should be and an interesting poem to ponder. It was a pleasure to peruse this one. Thanks for sharing.
