Review Style
I really focus on the reader's perspective when I'm reviewing something. If it strikes a deep emotional chord with me, I'm sure to let you know. I'm not a stickler for grammar/punctuation/spelling, unless it effects the reading or flow of a story.
I'm good at...
Letting you know how I truly felt about a story. If I didn't like it, or there was something that I found "off" about it, then I'll tell you, along with some ways to correct it. Plus, I'm online almost everyday!
Favorite Genres
Genres? Horror, Comedy, Sci-Fi, just about anything as long as it's readable.
Least Favorite Genres
I don't really have one. Interesting writing should be able to stretch outside of a genre and hook readers that normally wouldn't like that type of story (think of something like "Harry Potter")
Favorite Item Types
Short Stories, Essays, Novels, and Novellas
Least Favorite Item Types
Almost everybody has it, but poetry. I find it so subjective that somebody who may like one won't like another. But if you want me to review it, I will.
I will not review...
Nothing. I had to turn it into a double negative because I will review anything, but if I don't like, I'm sure to tell you.

Let me start off by saying that I love when poems rhyme, and I love even more when they follow and abab scale, it makes it a little more rhythmic.

However, since this is the internet, I'm forced to comment one thing that you can find on Tumblr. This one is going to be "Oh, the feels. They hurt."

This one did hurt quite a bit. I lost my mom four years ago, and although we never had to have an estate sale, just the thought of what that daughter is going through brought tears to my eyes.

Therefore, I believe congratulations are in order. Not only did you have a great poem, but you did something that every writer strives to do: You brought a reader to the emotional brink.

The only thing I didn't like, and it is a minor one, is the "For $5 it's yours to keep." I would have rather had her stick to her guns on something as important as that; it would have drawn the sentimental value full circle.

I applaud you, and say well done.

Wow, to hit 250 characters on this will be a stretch, but here goes.

I'm a father to a three year old son, whom I love dearly. As a frequent cusser (curser, maybe?), I sometimes have to listen to him repeat my words. I can only imagine the anguish you must have felt to not only have your daughter cuss, but to have her follow it up with what, in her eyes, must be a completely logical conclusion.

Simply for hilarity, I'll give this a 5/5. It's too short for me to truly determine what might be changed, but sometimes brevity works for a story. It certainly does for this one.

Wow. That is all. This is such a powerful piece of prose. The passion is evident in each line, each mark of punctuation. Let me break it down step by step, though.

The first half almost comes off as the narrator is trying to justify himself to someone, possibly himself. It's definitely moving, and makes you feel a little like your in their shoes.

The second half changes things up a little bit, in making the narrator sound as though they've accepted their fate, and just want to understand what the problem is. It's just as deep as the first half, although in a different way.

This has been one of my favorite pieces to read thus far, so thank you for taking the time to write it.

This is one of the times where there's an article on something that, as it stands, is an interesting topic. That being said, when it's listed as an "article", I have a lot of trouble accepting the numerous punctuation/grammatical errors. Had this been under "poetry", it would have probably been pretty good.

It wasn't bad as it is, though. There were some interesting viewpoints brought up. To give an example, saying that all the problems in India stem from population is a stance that may not be terribly popular, but one that you've backed up with thoughts and logic.

All in all, I think this would be a great article if it were re-written to reflect some more organization. It get's two stars for content, but misses out on anything for formatting.

You're my first review, so this should be fun! I really like the way that you wrote it out - I didn't find the content terribly interesting, but I liked the way things were written, so I was engrossed until the end.

I would have appreciated at least a little more backstory on either why the race was so important to Maura, or why she "left". The way her leaving was positioned in the story made it seem like it was there as filler content, instead of actually being there for a purpose.

All in all, I thought it was well written, albeit not my favorite piece. Based solely on the quality of the work and how it's styled, as an opinion is subjective, I'd give it a 4.5.
