To Len. A farewell wish.

Softness sleeps in hearts of gold,
and timeless stories from the aged speak.
Yet whispers known to all, but cannot say,
his mind now has settled down for sleep.
I wish him love and fondness well;
a shadow lurks upon my saddened soul.
An eagle's strength; wingtips made of gold,
he leads the flock with dignity, and takes them home.
