History: the building blocks of life. Poem for the 30 Day Image Prompt Contest.

A History Built.

It speaks of life and sits within my heart.
A sunrise, warmth upon the stones of old.
Ancient thoughts and dreams secure their part,
upon my life their timely truths be told.

Do I know the mysterys within,
a single pebble washed upon the earth?
The meaning in a wanderers own sin,
entwined in life. What's sitting at the hearth?

Can it be, that all time past is still anew?
Nothing in this world is forged from naught.
Can it be, that now my happiness so true,
is ageless balance, fortitudes so taught?
