The Importance of ME

It’s time to self-evaluate and understand the importance of me
Time to be STILL; sit in silence and ponder on what GOD has called me to be

A Virtuous Woman, ambitious and determined which is what I possess within
Trying to avoid these crowds and stay away from temptations which may lead to sin

Must stay grounded, got to raise my consciousness so I can grow
If I don’t realize my strength and weakness how else can anyone else know?

I must stand grounded in my thoughts and actions because my word is bond
Must do and live accordingly to the creator’s word, not just listen but respond

Waiting to exhale, I am ready to let go of the burden and pain that I feel inside
The time has always been NOW, so it’s time for me to just heal and no longer hide

Live for my offspring and for myself because others can’t be me
I have to be the woman, mother god has ordained for me—to live free

So I look in the reflection in the mirror and I see the inner me
I look within and realize who I am: which is the importance of me
