Response from Comment to Schwarzenegger video

I caught a video of Arnold Schwarzenegger visiting Auschwitz, the emotional impact it had on him, and his reaction to the proliferation of modern hate groups. Arnold is, and always has been, a very articulate patriot, and I was inspired to share in the comments of the video a memory of visiting Dachau as a teenager - and the impact it had upon me.

From the choir, my friend. Forty-five years ago, as a teenager, I went through Dachau. The numbing horror as you walk through the sterile color of the (un)dressing room, the showers that still smell of poison ... the row of furnaces. It was a drizzling rain when I walked out; millions of victims still crying.

It has haunted me for a lifetime; it has guided me on the right path for a lifetime.

Good message, sir. You are still serving your country, our country. Thank you.

A couple days later, I received a very nice response myself, and I thought I'd share it ... if only to rededicate my efforts getting something published.

Have you ever thought of being a writer Jon?
You paint very powerful 'word pictures'...just like Arnie.

Short. Sweet. Just like the perfect flash fiction I try and try to create.
