Pandora's Jar.

"Mother, I'm home!" Shouted Pandora, from across the house. In her arms lay a jar, given to her by Zeus. The words
"Don't open this jar, even if your life depends on it," rang in her ears.
"Pandora, my daughter! What is in that jar in your arms?" Asked her mother.
"I don't know, but Zeus said not to open it, even if my life depended on it," Pandora explained, "I am curious, though."
"Well, we should listen to the almighty Zeus, so let's put our curiosity aside. I made dinner! We're having teganites!"
"You needed a way to use the curdled milk, right?" Pandora asked suspiciously. She had a hard time believing her mom made taganites just because it was her favorite food.
"Maybe," Said her mom, turning toward the table. Pandora was left alone for a few moments, and that was all it took to do something that she regretted.
"I'll just take a tiny, little peek. No one will notice," She reasoned. But when she opened the jar, things began to leap out. Sorrow, disease, vice, violence, greed, madness, old age, and death. Pandora leaped to put the lid back on. Little did she know that hope remained in the jar. Because she put the did back on, hope still remains in the world today, even through disease, death, and sorrow.

That is the Greek Myth explaining why we still have hope through all the bad things. I hope you enjoyed it!
