Eight line poem

Prompt: Use the words 'in the stillness of a quiet room.’

In the stillness of a quiet room
I close my eyes in contemplation.
Thinking of a cold dark tomb,
I’m riddled with frustration,
As I try to write as once did Poe,
Of things macabre and morbid.
But as a poet I’ve far to go
To be so high regarded.
