Purple 💜 Rainbow 🌈
to remember Prince 🎶.


A poem inspired by Purple rain and 1999.

Purple rain, so sorry you were in so much pain.
And didn't make time to blame, for all of your losses were just so insane.

Instead you brought purple rain.
You gave your body and musical heart and soul, to make people love, be happy and dance. That was your main goal.


Somehow your spirit lives as we still remember and cherish, what you left behind and how you still give.


1999, I was dreaming when I wrote this forgive me if it goes astray, but life is like a party we still can listen to anyway!

Prince we hear your music and words without a record to turn.
Vibrating in our souls, still willing to listen and learn.

To see the beautiful and hear your beat that remains there, for us to still interpret and share.

With the purple rain,was there thunder?
Like a big bass drum and crashing cymbals, of that I have wondered.

To jam with you would have been awesome and sublime!
When I was a musician in Greenwich village a few years before your time!

Your rhythm's inspiration was to dance, an invitation.
Your word craft told unique stories of characters relatable indeed. Of happiness, heartbreak and needs.

I still believed in romance when I first saw you on MTV.
That was the decade it turned out I was destined to be alone but free.

Your frozen in time yet the musics still great. The party's still going, glad we're not late!
We may all be different of cultures or age, in you we are connected by our really good taste!

We wear a raspberry beret! 🎶💜
The kind you find in a second hand store,of that we can relate 😜!
