you probably have at least one person you want to tell that to, right?

A wisdom passed down through generations, from those who grew old enough to understand
"Time makes the important of today trivial tomorrow, thus most of your life after every loss: you will eventually stand"

You'll look back, to that time when you thought you ran out of chances
then you realize that age was never the limit, while your life goes on and advances

You'll look back, to that time when you thought you lost the perfect love
Only for that pain to become a distant, maybe even blurry, memory too weak to disturb what you now have

you'll look back, to that time when you thought your mistakes were beyond redemption
Only for it to be a passing desperation, followed by your journey on the path of salvation

Sometimes we barely get enough chances in life, I know
A broken love is nasty to get through, I know
And sadly not all sins can be forgiven, sometimes we have to live with them, I know

"You'll look back" can be even so annoying to hear, I know
It's never easy to wait for the seemingly distant future to heal, when the wound is fresh and deep while time is going slow
"And who said my torment will end?", a reasonable question indeed
Yet it's also reasonable to remember that fortune and misfortune are intertwined, another old wisdom left for those in need

You'll look back, trust in that when things can't seem to get any worse
You'll look back to that memory one day, if it persists, and maybe laugh about how it made you so desperate and tense
