the more you see the less you know right? but how much have you actually seen? |
As a child, I had quite the silly belief in mind That this small neighbourhood was the world itself, with nothing else beyond Then I was told that I live in what is called a country Meaning there are still other places unseen, so many "okay" I said, so the whole world is this country? that's easy to understand "One day I'll explore it all", for the longest part that was my biggest wish and demand It wasn't long before I discovered there are other countries, and we exist with them on the same continent And that there is more than one, in fact 5, making up something called the world: vast and magnificent As the scale kept growing, so did the wonder inside "What do other people look like? what do other animals look like?" too many questions to keep bottled up inside And so, the goal became clear: see them for myself, and maybe even find somewhere I can belong Be it wonder, love, adventure or wisdom: I can't wait to grab it, don't want it to take long But even if it does end up taking a lot of time and effort then it's fine As long as I get to embark on that journey the wait will surely be worth it, adding new flavours to this life of mine Needless to say: I got to understand as well that there is evil in this world, as I was growing So the journey might be a thorny path, but hey since when was anything worthwhile easy, without pain and complaining? Pain and misery are the same wherever you go, that much is true But when it comes to beauty, to happiness and bliss there are so many aspects of them that can be waiting somewhere for you As such, it is indeed worth the travel and effort so give it a chance Better than staying put all your life, and getting nothing of this world except photos that you casually give a glance Prepare your bags, money, food and camera! Maybe not today, not tomorrow or even this year but someday you'll go, and I wish you a safe trip on that day After that maybe even bring back with you a journal full of stuff to share, to show the moments you made on your way |
