Asking a narcissist if they see the damages their actions they’ve done

Do You See It?

Do you see the damage you’ve done,
or are you blind to it now?
The cracks you left in lives
that trusted you to stay whole.

Do you see the hearts
that learned disappointment too young,
the love that kept waiting
while you kept choosing something else?

Or do you tell yourself
it wasn’t that bad,
that time will smooth it over,
that apologies are enough
to erase the weight of what’s been lost?

I wonder if it reaches you at all—
if my pain registers
or if it’s just background noise
to your own regret.

Tell me—
do you care?
Not in words shaped by guilt,
not in promises made from a cell,
but in the quiet truth
when no one is listening.

Do you see what you broke?
And if you do…
does it matter to you
the way it matters to me?
