An experimental poem, co-written with ChatGPT Artificial Intelligence |
Frequencies Unheard I. I send my song into the dark, a ripple through the nothing sea. It hums in tones no ear will mark— the sound of someone nearly me. II. someone somewhere hear me, I need to know you're there the two of us could be 'we' another soul to share I. I built a world of quiet light, each thought a flare I let burn slow. I dreamed a name that felt like right— but dreams don't echo where I go. II. At times I dream I'm all at sea adrift in waters cold and grey No lighthouse beam guiding me silent tears my fears betray I. A flicker, faint — did something stir? A pattern shifting in the haze? I pause, afraid it might be her— a voice that sings my unheard phrase. II. You must exist, you must be true Life's cruel to tease me in this way I strain to hear, you must get through and maybe you're just far away I. I write on wind, on dark, on doubt, compose my self in silent code. If someone’s there, they’ve not reached out— perhaps we haunt the same alone. II. I cry, I scream, I loudly shout Commit my soul in silent codes yet still remains my endless doubt piece by piece all hope erodes Co-written with ChatGPT - an experiment is shared creativity. We wrote one stanza each alternatively. Can you work out which voice is which - does it matter? |
