A Vital Security: Our Armed Forces

A Memorial Day poem - a tribute to our heroes who gave their lives for our freedom.

The U.S. armed forces astutely
And proudly proclaim
The security and sovereignty
Of the Mighty Earth’s prevailing notions
Of freedom and economic hope…
That incredible and awesome military establishing
Peace through deterrence
And unbelievable capacity -
Serving a nation of ethics and triumphs
To strategically defend America’s voice.
One’s universal privileges and rights
Coming through the Decency
And Almighty Hands of God,
In prodigious valor,
While defending the Earth’s excellent core
Of human beings -
Believers in their own exquisite country’s
Greatness and beauty…

On this Memorial Day 2025,
May our focus shift to the Heavenly arrivals
And sacred lifetimes of our Christ-fearing love…
The resolute, single-minded constituency
Of this once-again proud land…
Those honored veterans and service persons
Who gave their lives
For America’s freedom -
Past, present, and future warriors
Of every successive generation
Coming forth as a superior fighting unit,
To the unerring and well-trained defense
Of America’s ecstatic hopes;
A dream of physical, mental, and spiritual prowess
Tied to the enlightened heights
And heroic preaching of The Lord, Our Savior;
Patriotic duties in reverent deference
To pressing forth common good
And greater justice;

To boldly adorn the sacred uniform
Of such exceptional importance and pride…

While showcasing bravery and unity
For our strident promises -
Now and into the future!
