Athena is trying to convince Poseidon to leave Odysseus alone.

A poem for Poseidon.
By: Athena

My dearest uncle,
I strongly suggest
that you leave Odysseus to his trouble.
He still has things to digest!

His friends are dead,
your mighty hand ensured that.
But now, his eyes have cried,
and he has no feelings, like a naked mole-rat.

My uncle, please,
don't you remember?
The sacrifices he would tease
us so he was in our favor?

You may be stronger than I,
but I am wiser.
So do as you try,
though my fate is kinder.
