Written after seeing a photo of the Normandy landings.

Through time and glory where men stand alone
Their hearts be the story that takes us home
War be the issue but strength be the guide
In years to come their ghost's by our side.

In honour and power and guts of steel
Young soilders of freedom our hearts they steal
In time passing by spirits roam the land
Where blood was shed by a foreign hand.

These men stood still with courage in mind
No fear, no surrender, the battle hard kind
God only knows what these young men felt
Each one now in heaven, an asteroid belt.
