Navy blue skies overhead
above where footsteps tread
people getting ready for bed
thinking of things they said
and where their actions led

over a flying dove
searching for its love
over a blustery cove
near a fruitful grove

Navy blue skies far away
yet they are here to stay
covering the earth to night from day
to the sky the twinkling stars say
we're happy even when you're gray.
