Cities rising against cities, no peace,
Communities clashing for boundaries, no peace,
Chaos, war, bloodshed, no peace.

World powers in tussle, fighting, struggling,
Economic meltdown, hunger, strife, starvation,
Ethnicity, tribal wars.. Partiality and favoritism,
Rich gets richer, poor gets poorer, no peace.

Young and old, arrested and sanctioned,
Children, teenagers, youths, adults committed to the grave,
Many banished into exile,
Young and old tortured and kidnapped, no peace.

Peace reign, we need a messiah, who?
To come and redress our economy,
Who? To come and revisit our budget,
Who? To come and improve our standard of living.

Peace.. When the righteous rules,
Peace.. When we are not judged by our skins and tongues,
Peace.. When we shun betrayal and injustice,
Peace.. When we cease the senseless wars.
