Chapter #5

Continuity Limited

    by: Unknown
The little creature at the wolf's toes was continuing to dwindle in size even as he looked down at it. This made the big picture much easier, one shot of the shrink ray and the enemy would dwindle in stature and keep doing so until who knew when. This thing had long-lasting effects, if the same thing carried to the wolve's shrink ray, then they could end any enemy with a single shot.

Khesk looked down at the ever dwindling cat, now small enough that he had to his neck up to see where the toe-nails emerged from the foot. It all added to the creature's shock down below and cold though the wolf was, he began to consider helping this one cat and maybe another. Then came the last straw when the titanic lupine noticed that the thing in front of him was a young cub.

All the enemies were supposed to be accounted for, but there were going to be felines getting eaten and meddled with, why couldn't one still innocent be saved? Slowly, the foot that had held firm in front of the cat drew back and the enormous creature came to a crouch, holding out a single claw on his fingers to scoop up the tiny thing. Seconds later, it was riding in a tin stuffed with cotton, inside the breast pocket over the dog's heart.

T'ornai had his world turned upside down today. Everything had suddenly gotten bigger except his house and friends, then the giants came and it all turned upside down. He had been as tall as the grass, but as he ran he found himself getting smaller and smaller. Finally, tiny T'ornai came undone when when a bug had nearly squashed him. Cat's ate and trampled bugs. He still had bug-cuts on his pads and between his toes from stomping on a few this morning.

Next thing he knew, there was this huge wolf's foot in front of him, if he jumped he might be able to get on top and climb to the top. The shrinking thouch continued, the wolf's toes were titans in their own right and then, for some reason T'ornai was moving off the ground and into some weird soft container that seemed to hold a bulding made of soft stuff. It closed and then wound up in some other container, the temperature was comfortable and light was non-existent, but it was comfortable and an odd rythmic boom in the background made a sense of calm.

In the land of giants, Khesk kept moving on, eventually he found another cat, it was bigger than the last, but then the last was a very young cub. It was also quite daring, the creature charged at the wolf's foot, but did no harm, the titan didn't notice the slightest sensation. All the while though, he had wondered what a cat tasted like, despite the little one he had just adopted.

While the creature was attacking, the wolf bent down, grabbed him and through him in his mouth. The feline was smaller than any of the lupine's teeth, but there was still enough of him there for there to be a taste of chicken. On his tongue, the creater barely registered to be there and then went down the back, falling down a hole thousands of feet wide.
