The mudslide engulfs Jimmy, and the ant. His spins and darkens as he becomes buried in an avalanche of dirt. He manages to dig himself out and find his sword. The rich girl from above is beaming with delight, entertained at her turn of events and delighted that he made it. His stomach contorts at the thought that her impulsive whim could have killed him.
He tries to shout angrily at her to leave him alone, but before he can, the ground underneath him quakes. The ant is also digging itself out of the wreckage and happens to be directly below him. The ground shifts as the ant unknowingly raises itself right underneath him. He finds himself riding its torso as its legs scurry about its business, and he instinctively holds on.
Its back legs try to push him off but can’t. He climbs to the top of the head and presses on. Victoria at this point is laughing in glee.
“Oh, that’s adorable,” she shouts, forgetting how loud her voice normally is to small ears. “I just have to keep you now.”
She reaches her hand down to grab Jimmy and the ant, but the ant instinctively dodges the threat. Afraid what else this giant girl would do to him, he kicks the back of the ant to stir it to action, like one would a horse. It responds in kind and charges underneath Victoria and behind her. The ant does not like that it has a rider but focuses on the more immediate threat from above, and Jimmy does as well. Victoria turns around to find him again.
