Dave's first thought is Brandon. He'd always encouraged Dave to be more outgoing and to have more confidence, which Dave had always been hesitant to do, partially because of his size. He always said:

"Dude, if I were in your shoes I wouldn't let it get me down... more cushion for pushin', you know"

Dave wondered that if they had been Brandon's shoes, would he walk as he said he would do?
