Hayley quickly regains her composure, knowing that her family secret must remain safe, and walked over to you with a hint of concern and anger in her eyes. "Are you completely insane!?" she whispered. "I don't know how you gained this power I am sensing from you but it was very foolish of you to reveal it without first consulting with mom!"
"It... It's not his fault." said Harry, quickly covering for you. "I started all of this."
Hayley turned to him, stunned once again. Unknown to her, you were surprised as well. "Tell me." said Hayley.
"You know that I collect unusual antiques." said Harry. "Since you left for... wherever, my collection has really grown." he paused, hoping that he was doing the right thing. "Only, just last night, this happened."
He opened his hand and concentrated, igniting the flame in his hand. "I came over to ask John about it. Being a big fan of science fiction, I hoped he might know something."
Hayley's face turned pale, hearing Harry's story but she became more stunned when you jumped in.
"I can only guess that a number of items in your collection may have magical properties." you said. "But that's nothing compared to my story."
You went on to explain how you came to possess your powers, making Hayley feel dizzy with stunned surprise and worry for both you and Harry.
"I have a holographic computer run teacher, named 'Jack', he's the one who had been teaching me." you said, finishing your story. "Only, I would not have shared any of this, if you had not caught me summoning a test flame."
Hearing that, Hayley breathed a low but long sigh of relief. "Never reveal your power unless there is no choice or you see another Harrison using her power." she thought, quoting her mom's words before she had left. "John is following the same rule."
"What about you, Megan?" you asked. "How did your flame appear?"
Again, Hayley turned pale. "You two!?!" she asked, exasperated.
Megan quickly shook her head. "I don't have any powers." she said, genuinely surprised.
Hayley looked into Megan's eyes for a moment, which made her nervous, then sighed. "You have them." she said, with a guilty look on her face. "They're from me, I must have leaked some of my own power into you before I left." she moaned. "I just got back!!"
"Is that my Hayley I hear!?" asked mom, cheerfully, coming down the stairs. "Welcome home!"
She walked up to give her a warm hug but froze as she saw everyone with a concerned look on their faces, causing her to be concerned as well. "Is... there something wrong?" she asked.
Hayley nodded then turned to you, Harry, and Megan. "Show her." she said.
With a sigh, you produced your test flame, followed by Harry, then Megan. Mom let out a short scream, each time, then turned to Hayley who slowly nodded. "As you can see mom, we have a mess to clean up."
