F'show!

You take a drink of some water from a water bottle you were holding. "Of course! I certainly wouldn't wanna let you leave in your current condition.", you say with a smile.

"Uh..." The avian lowers his head and the looks back up at you, "...thanks, I guess."

"Sure! No problem!", you say proudly. There was a pause for a moment, and then you break the ice. "SO, you said you were in a 'tight spot'. So were you like, stuck in the corner of the room and not able to get out or..."

"No..." The hawk looks up at you, "Wait, what?"

You shrug your shoulders, "Sorry I'm, I'm drawing a blank here."

The hawk sighs at you. "Look, I...I don't really feel comfortable talking about that right now."

"Oh. I understand. ... But hey, let's change the subject then! Why don't we spend this time to ask questions and get to know each other better.", you say with slight anticipation.

The avian glances at you. "... Sorry. You may be providing a place for me to stay and got me out of trouble, but I'm not comfortable enough to be talking about my personal life to you."

"Exactly! I want you to be comfortable with me and where you are. You can ask me anything! And I'm not gonna force information out of you. If there's anything I ask, you don't have to answer it.", you say happily.

The hawk looked away towards the ground, still skeptical of the idea. "Mm..."

"Here, why don't you ask me some questions first." You fold your arms, "Go ahead. Ask me anything."

"Um...okay." The hawk looks away, and then looks back at you while squinting his eyes. "Do you have any affiliation with the police, FBI, or CIA?"

"Nope!", you say with a smile. "Well, I have thought about it at one point in my life, but, it didn't really stick out to me." You grin, "Anything else?"

"..." The avian sighs once again. He looks out the window towards the city, which was sitting a few miles away from where they were. The avian turns his head towards you, "Why're you living all the way out here?"

"Provides a great view of the sky, mountains, and the city. Well, I guess mainly at night. Plus there's not too much pitter-pattering and city noise out here." You take another sip of your water.

"Is it just you? I mean, how was this place built up here?", the hawk asks.

This place was mainly my father's idea. I helped built this place from the ground up three years ago." You sigh. "We sure used to spend a lot of time out here."

The hawk grew a bit concerned. "'Used to'? Where is he now?"

You sigh. "He, got arrested two years ago after participating in a rally that was about bringing humans and anthros together. After he was put through trial..." You lower your head a bit. "All I can say is, I won't be seeing him again."

The hawk's expression grew a bit saddened. "Oh... I'm, sorry to hear that."

"Yeah. I still receive calls from him every now and then.", your expression brightening some.

"I see..." The hawk notices something, and looks up at you. "Wha-, wait, how can you receive calls from him if he's dead?"

You look at him with an eyebrow raised, "Huh? Oh no! He wasn't put to death. He was exiled."

The hawk felt a bit awkward. "Oh. ... And you have mom too?"

"Duh! Otherwise I wouldn't be alive helping people like you from falling out of two-story windows." You chuckle.

The hawk squints his eyes at you, "Mmm..."

"I-hi'm sorry. You may need to get used to my personality. But on a serious note, my mom couldn't bare to be away from my dad so long, I said it was okay if she wanted to go with him. And she did.", you explain.

The hawk grew a bit concerned again, "And, you're okay with staying alone up here all by yourself?"

You shift the bottle of water in your had around a few times, "It's got its downsides. But I've got a working job and unlimited long distance talk, so it's not all bad. Plus I'm enjoying the company."

"..." The avian looks away and then blinks looking back at you. "So, am I really here just because you wanted some company?"

You stare blankly at your water bottle for a moment, and then shrug your shoulders, "Well I, um...well... Okay, yes. The moment I saw you were hurt on the ground, I thought of it as being the perfect moment to bring someone home with me to take care of and to enjoy their company.", so say with a smile.

The hawk is staring blankly at you. You still had the same expression on your face. The hawk is still staring blankly at you. Still, you had the same expression on your face. The hawk felt weird, but then gets you, "...That's just your personality talking, isn't it."

You chuckle. "See? Now you're starting to get used to me."

The hawk grins, "Heheh. I guess I am."

You raise an eyebrow, "Whoa. Did you just giggle?"

"Huh!?" The hawk pouts a bit as he looks away. "Y-yeah. So? ......" The hawk looks at you, not trying to look silly, "Okay, you said you wanted to ask me a few questions. Well, what do you want to know?"

You look up at the roof, "Wow... Where do I even begin? ..." You place a hand upon your cheek, "Oh yeah! Your name! In fact, I haven't gotten to properly introduce myself either." You hold out your right hand, "My name's Allen. It's really a pleasure to meet you." There was a fairly long pause, for the hawk was a couple feet away from where you were holding out your hand. "...... Okay, I guess it's fine if you just tell me your name right off the bat--!"

You look down at your hand to feel a soft, feathery palm grabbing ahold of your hand. You look up to see the avian standing right in front of you. "The name's Morgan. I guess I should thank you at least for helping me out and letting me stay. Heh.", Morgan grins warmingly as he tilted his head off to the side a bit.

Your cheeks start to turn a bit red by the feel of Morgan's soft palm shaking with yours. You also notice Morgan is actually a foot taller then you, and you're 5'6. But then you shake your head to shake it off. "Uh, yeah. Sure thing.", you say with a warm smile. It was strange. You and Morgan were just staring at each other, and for some reason, you just couldn't stop.

Morgan speaks up to break the moment,..
