Kyle grabbed the gallon of milk out of the fridge and a glass from the cabinet. Â When he poured the milk, he noticed how it frothed a lot more than normal milk did; that explained why it tingled when he drank it. Â In his haste, he accidently overfilled the glass and some spilled on the floor. The family cat, Misty, came over and started licking up the spilled milk. Â Kyle laughed. Â He supposed there'd be no harm letting the cat drink a little; in fact, it might even be funny. Â Kyle reached for a bowl and poured some milk into it, then set it on the floor. Â Misty quickly started lapping the milk up.
Kyle then took his glass of milk and started chugging it. Â The slight tingling sensation was still there, and he swallowed the whole glass at once. Â Licking his lips when he wasdone, he realized he was still thirsty, so he poured himself another glass and drank it too.
Kyle looked at the jug of milk, which still was over halfway full. Â He had heard in science class that it was impossible for a human to drink a gallon of milk in one sitting because the body couldn't process lactose that quickly. Â Of course, at this size, he reasoned, it might be possible for him to finish the gallon. Â Kyle thought about it. Â It might have some unintended consequences, but it did sound tempting, and he was still a little thirsty.
