Chapter #8

The police, they were notified

    by: Pankos Author IconMail Icon
"Hello young lady, who are you?"

It was a cop, damn it the neighbors must have called due to all the commotion they were making outside... I thought this place was safe.

"...I live in the neighborhood.. I am here to.. to get my bike back from the owner of this house who fixed it up for me"

"Well can you get the owner of the house here to address the complaint we have gotten. Apparently a passerby has notified us that an underage child has been seen under the care of possibly intoxicated adults, is the man who fixed up your bike here?."

If I don't act fast Will could get in trouble for child endangerment... And I would be cited for violating the agreement I signed with the Body Corp to avoid endangering the Body

"No officer there is really no child endangerment here, I don't live here and they are just having a party at the same time as I decided to come check on my bike, I will go home now"

I left the house and tried to walk away but the cop stopped me.

"Well OK, but I insist that I must drive you back to your house, it is already pretty late and dangerous outside for little children like you to be wandering outside. Get in the car."

You get in the back of the police car. The officer gets in and begins to drive.

Damn... I can't let Jones know that this happened, he was under the impression that this was an appropriate party. The Body Corp will enter me for a lawsuit for putting the body in a dangerous position.

"Where's your home little girl?"

"I... don't have a home"

"What do you mean that you have no home? "

"Uh.. I have been living alone"

"On the Streets??"

"...Yes" I didn't think this through. But it is the only way I can avoid the situation

"Well what happened to your parents, don't you have family members?"

"No, my parents disappeared one day and they dropped me off in this town and I've been living on the streets"

"Well, we will have to take you to the police station to straighten this out"

This hole I've dug myself into will be hard to get out of. The jig will be up at the police office when they figure out who I am.

At the police office...
