The next day, a Saturday, you and Twilight walk to the park to meet up with your friends. Your unicorn friend couldn't stop talking about how Fluttershy tackled you last night as she accepted your invitation to the prom.
"I think it's so sweet that you and Fluttershy are going to homecoming together!" she says with excitement.
"I know," you say. "You said it fifteen times in the last hour."
"Sorry, [your name]," she says. "But I always thought that you and Fluttershy would be a perfect couple."
Your heart skips a beat when you hear Twilight say those words. Did she really believe that you and Fluttershy were the perfect couple. To be totally honest, you thought that Fluttershy had no romantic interest in you at all. Then again, she never really opens up when it comes to romantic feelings.
The two of you finally get to the park and are greeted by Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Applejack.
"Hey there, Romeo," says Rainbow.
"What are you talking about?" you say.
"Twilight told us all about how you asked Fluttershy to homecoming!" exclaims Pinkie Pie.
"She did, did she?" you say, looking at Twilight with a resentful glare.
"Now, now, there's no need to be embarrassed, [your name]," Rarity chimes in. "Why, I think it's rather sweet."
"'Oh, [your name], I'd love to go to homecoming with you!'" says Rainbow Dash, imitating Fluttershy. "'I've been waiting so long for you to ask me!'"
You blush a little at her teasing.
"Now, stop it, Rainbow!" says Applejack. "Or are ya just jealous that he has a date to homecoming and you don't?"
"Last time I checked, NONE of you have dates besides [your name]." Rainbow argues.
"Correction," says Rarity. "One of the stallions form the baseball team asked me to the dance two days ago,"
"And I'm going with this really handsome pony form the chess club," says Twilight.
"Whatever," Rainbow Dash says in a huff.
