Can you survive the only human in a building full of giant monsters? Fantasy monsters only

This choice: Stay and ask why she's afraid.  •  Go Back...
Chapter #9

Reluctant Monster

    by: Unknown
You walk up to the sphinx directly in her face and she uses her tiny wings in an attempt to hide her scared chubby face. "Why are you afraid of me? You're a giant man eating monster. I should be afraid of you." "Go away!" yells the sphinx. "Leave me alone! No more humans! No more riddles!" "Oh-kay," you say nervously. "Explain, pretty please."

The sphinx woman gets up and you see just how large she is compared to you. "Look at me!" she yells at you. She slaps herself in the belly and then turns around to show your her oversized rear. "Look at these gluts. You humans did this to me." "Huh?" Giselle lets out a sigh. "Everyone knows that when a sphinx encounters a human, they have to ask a riddle to decide whether or not they eat the human." "What does that have to do with... oh... Oh!"

Giselle lets out a loud sad roar as her eyes begin to water. "I've never encountered a human who could answer my riddles. It never stopped! Even when I wasn't hungry! You humans are getting dumber! I ate hundreds of your kind just last week and didn't enjoy a single one! Do you have any idea how much murder you are on my figure. I'm so fat I can't keep my balance and how to walk around like an animal." You couldn't believe this. Humans couldn't be that fattening could they? Then again, Lupa's fat and she practically lives on humans.

"All the other sphinxes make fun of me for it. Hey Giselle, is that a bug flying around your ass? Oh my mistake, it's just the moon. Oh Giselle, when is the litter due? Does it hurt to have twenty buns in the oven? I can't go out there where the other monsters will make fun of me. That's why I took a computer job so I can work at home! I'm too smart for my own good or they're too dumb!"

You didn't believe this. A maneater that was sick of humans? You didn't understand it. "Don't be upset Giselle," you say. "You don't have to eat me. I didn't even want to ask you a riddle. I only came in here to avoid being eaten. Shake?" You hold out your hand as Giselle looks at you. Maybe she'll consider being a friend rather than an unwilling predator?

You have the following choices:

1. She shakes and smiles

2. She has to ask you a riddle. It's the sphinx code.
