This choice: continue P3(reserved for Bultog II or louisverse) • Go Back...Chapter #6Yukari is now the true Lovers. by: Louisverse   Minato dully went through the motions after Edogawa had left with the others to go to school; everyone knew the truth, and not just the whole thing about him and the girls, though that was certainly enough by itself; now there was this whole possibility that he was host to the same power that was corrupting all the other Shadows, making them lash out in twisted perversions of their true nature. How much had he been affected by that power? How much of himself was himself and not just what that power had done to him? When he spoke to the Shadows, when that strange Persona ate their darkness, was he creating a monster far worse than the sums of all the other Shadows?
"Minato..." The young boy with far too much to bear on his shoulders looked up and saw Yukari coming down the steps; she was dressed in her nightgown, and the way she was pressing her legs together, it was a telltale sign that he'd come to recognize far too well in his short yet eventful life. "Minato!" Suddenly her manner snapped, she came up to him in a focused gait that held no sign of lust or urge at all, only compassion and the need to offer companionship. "Oh, Minato." She wrapped her arms around him, and the comfort of her chest held no heat to it, only a soft and yielding warmth. "You're hurting, aren't you? Worse than last night, something happened while I was asleep, you found something out, didn't you? I can see it in your eyes, you don't know what to believe anymore, that's how badly you've been shaken up." Minato nodded. "You don't have to tell me what it is right now, but please let me share your burden; I don't want you trying to shoulder everything yourself, I don't want you doing things without believing in them, and I don't want you trying to distract yourself from your hurt like, like my Mom; I've told you right? I think I have, I don't know, but I'm going to say it again if I have already; after my dad died, my Mom, she just kept going from one relationship to the next, no one of them meaning anything or lasting long enough to ever be able to mean anything and I've seen how empty and unfulfilled that is, so I want you to know that us, that you and me and all of us, that's not what we are; this isn't just a distraction, a way to hide from the pain, we're here with each other because we complete each other. Do you understand that Minato? Am I making any sense at all to you?"
"Yes." Minato's cheeks were wet and warm, and only grew more so. "Yes Yukari, I do." He grabbed onto her and let the raw sensation of his anguish and dread flow into her, become part of her, and he felt hers becoming part of his, but that wasn't all, not in the least; their strength was becoming one as well, in each others arms they brought together their sorrows and made them into one great giant so that they could take their joy and contentment and make it into a singular spear and run that nightmare through in one fell swoop; of course, it wasn't as easy as that, but Minato knew it in his heart, the true power of the Lovers would make this seemingly impossible task possible.
And to think, people who didn't know her would think of Yukari as a stuck-up prissy high-schooler, they'd never know the amazing young woman for who she truly was.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
