This choice: Claire wants to be altered. • Go Back... (Chapter originally by Shortyboss, but I accidentally deleted it)
“I’ve got an idea,” said Claire. “But it’s a bit out there.”
“The weirder, the better,” said Jess. “That’ll let me see what limits my power has.”
“Alright,” said Claire. “You know how I like to dye my hair, right? Well, what I want is the ability to change the colour of my hair to whatever colour I want, whenever I want.”
“Okay,” said Jess slowly. “I’m not sure if I can do that, but I’ll see what I can do.”
“If you can’t do that, just give me naturally blue hair,” said Claire. “If I want it a different colour, I suppose I can ask you to change it for me.”
“Right,” said Jess, nodding. “Here goes...”
Jess concentrated on Claire’s hair, imagining that all the hair on her body was naturally electric blue. While there was no obvious change to Claire’s hair, her eyelashes and eyebrows were now the same colour blue as her hair.
“I think it worked,” said Daniella.
“Really?” said Claire.
“Well, your eyebrows are blue now,” said Mai. “I don’t know if you can change the colour of your hair like you wanted to, though.”
“Only one way to find out, I guess,” said Claire. “Let’s try... pink!”
Claire scrunched her face up as she concentrated, and as she did, a wave of colour rippled through her hair as it changed colour, going from electric blue to neon pink, just like she wanted.
“Holy crap, it worked!” said Jess.
“Awesome!” said Claire. “Now do the same to my skin!”
“Alright,” said Jess, concentrating. “And... done!”
“Now, let’s see,” said Claire. “I’m feeling... blue!”
Claire’s pale skin darkened, and turned a deep shade of blue, causing her neon pink hair to stand out even more.
“Yes!” said Claire, pumping her fist in excitement. “Now, do my eyes!”
“Here you go,” said Jess, snapping her fingers and making the change.
“Okay, I think I’ll try... red,” said Claire, and as she spoke, the whites of her eyes turned a light shade of red, while her irises became dark red.
“Did it work?” asked Claire.
“It worked,” said Daniella. “You look like some sort of alien.”
“This is so cool,” said Claire as she looked herself over. Claire then began testing her new ability by making her eyes, skin and hair the same shade of bright green. She then shifted her hair, skin and eyes different colours, going through the entire rainbow, from red to violet. After about a minute, Claire then reverted herself back to her original colours, with pale white skin, dark blue eyes, and light brown hair.
“Thanks, Jess,” said Claire.
“No problem,” said Jess. “So, who wants to go next?”  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
