"Well, we were all born this way."

"Oh?" you asked, feigning surprise. Of course, you knew someone had altered reality, but you decided not to inform them of that. It would be kind of like telling a small child that Santa Claus didn't really exist.

"Yeah. Hayley, Tiffany and I were part of a clique in high school, the Legos. All you had to do to join was have the ability to detach and reattach any body part at will." the short one said.

"Because Rachel was captain of the volleyball team," Hayley, the short one said, "She'd often set up games where her head would be used in place of the ball"

"Didn't hurt as much as you'd think, only when someone missed" the tallest one, who you now identified as Rachel, said.

"That's how we kept skinny" Hayley said. "We don't eat anything high in fat or sugar unless we detach our heads"

You decided that these nice girls were oblivious to the gravity of their situation, and whilst it was interesting talking to them, you were curious about more potential oddities in the mall.

"Hey, listen, I kinda have to be somewhere. Nice meeting you all."

"Thanks!" Rachel said. "Um, didn't quite catch your..."

"It's Jason", you said.

You got up from their table and then pressed the button on the katana's hilt, freezing time. You had no plans to alter anyone, just look around for anything strange. After about a minute of looking, you saw something that caught your attention, and quickly sat down at a table near them. Unfreezing time, you quietly observed this strange alteration that was...
